86 Sacred Echo

In this conversation, Andreas, Dave, and Paddy discuss not only the first of three difficult weeks in the It's Complicated Series on the life of David, but also the complex relationship between Christianity and politics, emphasizing the dangers of mixing the two. They argue against the commingling of faith and partisan agendas, but admit that when Jesus came to usher in the kingdom of God, in the midst of the Roman empire, there were political implications. The difference is, who or what are you focused on. At crosswalk, it always needs to be Jesus. The team also gets into what happened in David's life as he got more comfortable with power, and how he began to lose his moral compass and do the unthinkable. This is week one of a few weeks of difficult stories involving murder, rape, abuse of power, deception, and more. Please, if you are triggered by any of these topics, let us know how we can help. Peace be with you and as always, lovewell.
