Dr. Mya Roberson is a social epidemiologist, health services researcher, and assistant professor. She is also an Associate Editor of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at JAMA Dermatology and a Board Member Trustee at Brown University. In 2021, she completed her Ph.D. in Epidemiology at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health where she was a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Research Scholar and a Truman Scholar (PA 2015). Her research interests are in applying epidemiologic methods to health services research to promote health equity using big data. She is especially interested in equity in cancer care delivery for Black people in the US South.
