87 - Get Out

Dan and Garrett are joined by Philadelphia comedians Abeeku Cobbina and Setoiyo to chat about Jordan Peele's directorial debut, Get Out. With one of the tightest scripts in recent memory, Peele delivers a thrilling social satire about race and otherness in the supposedly "post-racial" America we tried to lay claim to during the Obama administration. As the gang attempts to unpack every bit of imagery and metaphor, they're continually lead into frank conversations about blackness in America, blackness in horror movies, and how Peele intertwines the two to create a narrative that is both enlightening and constructive, rather than instructive.
