88 | INTERVIEW| Advice for Overwhelmed Moms: Ditch Mom Guilt, Trust in God & Focus on What Matters — with Cheryl Davis
from CONFIDENCE FOR CHRISTIAN WOMEN | Life Coaching, Consistency, Comparison, Trust in God, Goal Setting, Self Worth · host Nicole Naicker | Mindset, Faith, Identity, Purpose|
Mama, if you have ever sat on the floor in tears wondering how you got here — exhausted, overwhelmed, running on empty and somehow still feeling like you're not doing enough — this episode is going to speak right to your heart. Today I'm sitting down with Cheryl Davis, host of the Time for Mom podcast, mama of two little girls (Ruth and Rebecca — biblical names, I love it), devotion writer, and honestly just one of the most real and genuine women I've had on this show. Cheryl shares the moment everything broke open for her — her youngest baby was sick, her husband was in a wheelchair, her toddler was acting out, and she found herself sitting on the floor of her daughters' room in a complete puddle of tears. And in that broken moment, God showed her something that changed everything. She had cut herself off from Him in the name of being a mom — and she had nothing left to give. Out of that season, God led her to start writing devotions and eventually launch the Time for Mom podcast — to pour into moms who feel alone and don't know where to turn. We talk about the all-or-nothing trap that's keeping you stuck, why comparison is behind most of your mom guilt, and how to actually manage your time when life feels like complete chaos — in a way that works for YOUR season, not someone else's. Cheryl's 3 steps for the overwhelmed mom: Make time for God first — even 5 minutes counts, even from your bed Keep trying and give yourself grace — there is no one size fits all Pray, seek God, and do what He asks — even when it's scary Scripture: Luke 12:29–32 And her closing words? You're not momming wrong. God gave you your kids — and He thought you were up for it. If you needed permission to breathe today, friend — this is it. 🎵 Cheryl's go-to music: Shake That Bagpipe by The Sidh https://www.nicolenaicker.com/community— https://music.apple.com/us/song/shake-that-bagpipe/1382135752 📚 Cheryl's must-read series: Sisterchicks by Robin Jones Gunn — https://www.goodreads.com/series/52999-sisterchicks Cheryl Davis Podcast: Time for Mom podcast 📅 Book a coaching session: nicolenaicker.com/booking 🤝 Join the community: nicolenaicker.com/community 📩 Get in touch: nicolenaicker.com/contact
