88. Karrie Keyes, SoundGirls Cofounder & Pearl Jam Monitor Engineer

Karrie Keyes, co-founder of SoundGirls.org, joins the podcast to talk about her transition from analog to digital and how she manages stage volume for Pearl Jam. Keyes also talks about some of her roots with artists like Fugazi and Black Flag. Some more serious conversations on the "Exit Plan," how to know when to retire or move on, and the tough choices this industry can bring with the grueling lifestyle of touring.Beginning her career in live sound at the age of 18, Karrie Keyes has been the monitor engineer for Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder for 30 years.
