88 - Local Fishing Legend Charlie Taylor

from Fishing the DMV · host Thomas Arens

On this exciting episode of the Fishing the DMV Podcast I have the honor of talking with Charlie Taylor. As a supervisor with 7-Eleven back in 1970, he was making his rounds one day when one of his store managers told him that he was too uptight, and he needed a hobby. After that day an obsession was born.  Charlie Taylors list of accomplishments are astonishing!!! An accomplished fishing guide, a publishing fishing reports that continued for over 17 years in multiple local publications, including the Times Community Newspaper, an accomplished fishing guide, creator of multiple local fishing Clubs and the founding of the NHBA Youth Foundation in 1991. This foundation started one of the longest running kids fishing derbies on the planet!!! The organization still host this youth derby at Lake Fairfax to this day.   If you are interested in being on the show or a sponsorship opportunity, please reach out to me at [email protected] New Horizon Bass Anglers Website: https://nhbayouthfoundation.weebly.com/ New Horizon Bass Anglers Youth Fishing Derbies https://nhbayouthfoundation.weebly.com/kids-derbies.html New Horizon Bass Anglers Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/379351796223252    Places you can listen to Fishing the DMV audio version:          https://www.buzzsprout.com/1893009  Fishing the DMV YouTube Channel:         https://youtu.be/n3c-CFvmpFg    Jake’s bait & Tackle website:           http://www.jakesbaitandtackle.com/    Fishing the DMV Instagram page:         https://www.instagram.com/fishingthedmv/?utm_medium=copy_link          #fishing #bassfishing #FishingtheDMVSupport the show
