88th Anniversary Sunday

On August 23, 2026, First Baptist Church of Boron celebrated its 88th anniversary by looking not merely at what has been built over the years, but at who has been building the church: Christ Himself. From Psalm 127:1–2, we were reminded that unless the Lord builds the house, our labor is ultimately in vain. The health and faithfulness of a church are not finally measured by its age, size, activity, or visible success, but by whether the Lord is building His people through His Word, His grace, and their dependence upon Christ. In this message, we consider: Why the Lord must be the builder of His church How Christ builds His people through His Word, prayer, worship, fellowship, and the ordinary means of grace Why God’s sovereign work does not make our faithful labor unnecessary How Christ gives His church hope for the future Why Jesus Christ is not only the Builder, but the Cornerstone of His church After 88 years, our confidence is not ultimately in what we have built. Our confidence is in Christ, the Cornerstone, who is still building His church.
