#8_ENG_Catherine DAVIDSON_”A dispute is often not about what it seems to be about.”

In this #8 episode of Humankind – Bridging Dialogues, we travel « down under », to Australia, where mediation is fully integrated to the dispute resolution panorama. My guest, Catherine Davidson, commercial mediator based in Sydney, shares over two decades of experience at the crossroads of courts, law firms and mediation practice.Together, we explore:how a mediation practice is built one case at a time, through trust and word of mouth, why preparation and expectation management are as important as the mediation day itself, how interests, emotions and listening shape outcomes far beyond legal positions, and what cross-cultural mediation teaches us about humility and adaptation.Just ahead of the #ICC Mediation Competition in February in Paris, this episode offers both strategic insight and human perspective for effective dispute management, as a reminder that mediation is not only about resolving conflict, but about creating readiness for dialogue.🎧 Welcome to the table!www.linkedin.com/in/faiza-alleg-lawyer-mediatorwww.faizaallegdolivet.comHébergé par Ausha.
