Welcome everyone to the saga 2020 QA. Let's get right into it. Right into it. Let's do it.

We've got a ton of questions. Now, not a fuck time. We do have a lot though. And we're going to kick these off.

We're going to start with our questions that came from Patreon. OK. Thank you to all our patrons. Hey, everybody.

They should be going around the room and say who we play and who we are. Sure. Yeah. I mean, I'm done.

I'm done. I'm the DM. You may not remember me. But I'm the one who fucked their world in 42.

That was me and Brendan. Yeah. We're the ones that decide like, hey, remember all those people, the characters that you love? We're killing them all dead.

All of them. Hey, it sounds so good. I'm Brendan. Because we are.

And I was before my time. All right. OK. Brendan is.

Yeah, that's me. Brendan is the codam. He does all the battle stuffs. He builds all the baddies.

I am the pupero numbers. Yes. And he has a special line. I do.

I spoke that beautifully. I spoke that beautifully. I mean, who are you? I'm KLD back.

I never make character. I never make character. I've been playing this role for four years. My work is sick of it.

And I am being investigated by the IRS. I filed for KLD back on all of my taxes. Caleb Payne has not filed any taxes in four years, but Kill D-bag has. And on 40 million credits.

Just acquired. Who are you? Who are you? Hey, who the fuck are you?

Who the fuck are you? And go past me. I'm wrong. What the fuck are you?

I'm Daniel. I play at Ewog named Chubro. And I make dick jokes. Hey, hey, that's not yourself short.

You also make poop jokes. It's been a while since we've had to write your old baby poop jokes. He's threatened people with pooping in their beds, but he hasn't specifically pooped in their bed. I'm housebroken at this point in the story.

If anything, I'm cleaner than pretty much anybody else in the ship. What are those things when you do it in real life? You don't want to bring it into the podcast. Pooping in people's beds?

You nasty. By the way, we don't kick shame on this podcast. This is the same as just a fucking intervention. It's not a stop pooping in people's beds.

Daniel, you've gone. Stop. Man, I can't help it. It's a fucking drive.

Jesus. You see a nice bed and you're just like, man, I want to poop that. I want to poop that bed. I want to poop that bed.

I want to poop that bed all over that. Hey, let's make a shirt. All right. Do that bed.

Do that bed. All right, who are you? It's Britney bitch. Oh, that was the perfect opportunity.

It was. It was the most important. Since 1999, you should have. I've been waiting.

I've been waiting. That's my childhood. That's all I live for. That was my destiny.

Since the last Q&A, I mean, she's a new character. I am. You really speak up a lot on the last Q&A. Who you play?

I play Ryla Ursan, the Twi-like. I prefer Twi-like. I know some say Twi-like. Yeah, well, they're wrong.

Twi-like. That's the wrong thing. New moon. I've even heard.

I was about to say it, and then you fucked it. I quit mid-be. But be. What were you saying, sir?

I guess I'm done. I'm good. Do you want to do bed silent? You can shut down.

That's whatever. I'm sorry. What? I'm sobbing.

I'm sad. I'm sad. I'm sad. I'm sad.

I'm sad. You're so fucking chill. I hate it. You're like a jimmy buffy.

I smoke a lot of weed. He's the jimmy buffet of the group. IRL. It's just so full.

It's so full. It's okay. Every time I open it up. I'm like, I'm like, I'm a jimmy.

I'm right here. Who are you? That's what I want to do. I like to use this here.

This is nice for my character. Okay. messeny play. I play.

I play Mark Kenobi. Laisc lead character. ? that's the least most popular.

The least most popular character. I see it's there. Fuck. Skin sneaky.

Okay. So I guess, I would start with our questions from patreon. or April, someone comes from Heads, one come from random. What's now?

I know it's gonna be point fingers and shit. I think I do a pretty good job of remembering. I think that question was spurred by when we saw him and we were talking about questions. I think it came up.

So when we asked for questions, he was the first person to respond with that question specifically. Now to give some insight, we do only record once a month. And so we do have to get some insight from Doug and he kind of gives us a recap of what's going on. Because yeah, after a month everybody forgets.

I listen to the show profusely and I still forget what I said. Any time that I'm listening to a new episode, it always feels like. And they're also like six months removed. Right.

By the time we're recording and the episode is not current to what we're acting. I think next month in April, I think you will have been with us for a year at that point. You've only been in like four episodes. That's crazy to think that it's been a year already.

But that makes me excited about all the content. Yeah, there's some great shit that's coming. Okay, you guys have your character sheets and stuff. You want to know who has the most dark side points?

Oh, that's a lovely job. I was fine, but there's some stuff that hasn't been released yet Some things happen. So, yeah, I forgot about that. There's some dark side chub up to look forward to.

And I have actually worked off a lot of my upside points. I will say, Ryla's out of five. You did come in with some, you know, because you were an assassin. And then they once know who has the most kills, which we have here.

The official kill count done for us by Eric Paulson. Thank you. Oh, thank you. Within like a week, listen to all, I mean, I'm gonna have episodes we've done.

Can I just say, you said one of the next six thing in one of the episodes. I said it was like his 11th 13th. 13th time through. Yeah, he's still impressed.

He hasn't gotten tired of that. That's Buck Wild. It is. And he also said, because I was like, hey, we got to send you a gift basket.

And he was like, no, you doing the show has given me enough happiness. I love that guy. Straight up bullshit. We're gonna send you something, Eric.

It's me. It's gonna be me. I'm sitting on a sign. I will spend a week at your house.

No. So he doesn't do your laundry. I promise I won't let that happen. 61 episodes, which includes all of, because we've done, this is up through episode 46, which is confusing, includes the live episodes, the horror fest episodes, the little weapons factories and the kind of back story, that was the spinoff, but episodes that follow you guys individually when we did that stuff.

Fun fact, they won't even allow prisoners to listen to our show. I go and tell them what they know. It's considered grueling unusual punishment. So the fact that Eric did that and took it upon himself.

It's an honorable town. No, it's inhuman. He might be Superman. So we really need to investigate this government.

Okay. So as a group. You know what? As a group, you guys have a total of 321 kills.

Wow. Yeah, it seems very low. Those are all the orphans. Yeah, I'm getting a ton of camp.

Or no orphans. Because orphans don't count as people. I guess that could possibly be higher, because I don't remember off my head. So like, for example, in episode 13, you guys, I said you guys, Chobra planted some dead knight, saw bone blew it up, killed two guards, and it was either killed two guards and 21 civilians or two guards and 23 civilians.

Otherwise, there was a 23 killed in that time. Favorite rapper. So I don't remember if it was 23 civilians plus two guards or 23 including the two guards. So anyways, they have stuff like that.

And then also that's also counting the 44 people that you guys killed within the exchange in episode 41, 42, because that was a group effort so that didn't go to specific people because you guys just opened up the guys. Who's got the most? It's Chobra. It's Chobra.

It's Chobra. It's gotta be. By episode 46, Chobra has an exact total of 100 kills. Ooh!

I dropped a bomb. What a beautiful number. A third of the kills. Who's in second?

Second is, Solbon was 64. Yeah, he is. I had a tough last. He is.

Riley was. Marky has 57, and Kill has 54. Willie had one. Riley has one.

Yeah, but I'm almost at 69. At this point, you've only been a part of like one episode of battles and that's pretty common for one kill in episode. And that one kill was pretty hard-cool. So this is King and Kill goes out nightly and kills hobo's and alleys.

So those numbers are not accurate. Well, we actually have to be Thorben. We also have some NPC kills. What happened?

We have some NPC kills. So like Thorben had five kills that we know of. There are three that were referenced offscreen. Plus, he became the Narshedal Ripper.

So I mean, this is another 50 on top of that. That's my boy. Now, Leopies had one. Jake the Great, which is one of the bounty hunters.

He took out two pod racers. So he has two. Chindie. He took out a slaver.

He took out Mad Mark, Omega Prime or whatever his fucking droid's name was from the weapons factory episode. Killed Zach. So he has one. Oh, yeah.

Well, he kills. He got intentionally. He's a thing fellow. So it counts as technically a transport for a fellow over.

K41L had three kills. Monty had four. Ma'amzo had three. And Stardust had two that was on the Horrfest episode.

Oh, yeah. All of them have kill in zombies. And whatnot. Frigiri has one.

Santa. Damn. Santa's saying the shit blood. It's official.

Acid Spore has one when he killed Grumble on the train before Bailing. Before Bailing. On the train, the guards killed four pirates. Ants had one kill and she killed one of Dromitous thugs.

Market. Dromitous killed 250 people in the Casino. His drama is Ant his followers. Sure.

And then he killed 12 people on Corbin with you and that crew with Rylus crew. Totally. That's the count as partially much. Yeah, girl.

You are. So the NPCs have a total of 295 kills. Mostly Dromitous because he wiped down the Tarkas. He knows a little.

So for a total kill count for the episode including all the NPCs is 572 kills. So there you go. Random. Do some work.

They're the galaxy. I do want to say that the kill count should start to even out now because early on Trevor I really outpaced everyone damage wise. Which just explodes. But now everyone else's damage is starting to catch up.

So we should see it start to even out a little bit more. But I'm still going to kill everyone I can. I drop them all down and then other people steal the kill. It happens man.

That's just how it works. That's me. Stop having a high kill. Exactly.

You're still. Hi, I'm Kale. One of the highest episodes and I don't remember which episode this is. Episode 21 you guys killed 19 people.

Was that the warehouse episode? I don't know. No, it's after a while. We did blow up a stage.

That must have been it when we... No, because that's episode 13. That one was outside. It had to be the one.

Because I think counts of villains for you guys because I wanted it to specifically be like enemies. Oh, 19 people. There was like one time when we raided an exchange base and we were just creating every room. Oh yeah.

That might have been that one. That's the one where I think I threw the grenade behind me and walked away and slowed. I don't know what that was, but I will say Eric said that that was one of his favorite parts of the entire. He's like, do I count that because it wasn't really an encounter but he threw a grenade?

Did that guy die? It's not explicitly said. I was like, oh yeah. Not that dude did.

Moving on. Next question. Brando is Kale going to get back into racing or is the loss of Thorben keeping him from the track? Pass.

Okay. I'm very innocent. I love that. I didn't even think of that as an actual motivation for Kale.

That kind of makes sense. Yeah. I mean, there's the part when we just haven't done it. We're so traveling right now that I have not been able to pick up.

But at the same time, it's like a Ricky Bobby thing. He's got the jitters whenever he thinks about racing because he misses his voice. No, I got your mechanic. What is a racer without a mechanic?

Exactly. What is a D bag without his boy? What is a Clem Dog without a Clem? All right.

Are you doing Clemfrey? Clem Dog? I'm an outing now. Oh, my God.

You can also pass on the side. It says we're Kale's pod racer and swoop bike destroyed on the big ship. On the big ship was destroyed. Yeah, were they?

We know the answer. The answer is spoilers. The answer is no. We'll spoil it.

Yeah. We'll see them again. But not necessarily in the pod racing since we just kind of answered that. Because they were moving so far away from the blast that they merged together and it became a super racer.

And now I have a whole new... Splad racer. It's a Splad cast racer. It's a Splad cast racer.

Odin wants to know what is Marka Nobby's type of girl and will he ever find her? It is a loaded question. And then imprints these. Someone that will survive.

That's fucked up. I like that. Ow. Mark had loved ones.

He had love and he got burnt. And so he's not looking for anything serious right now. As for the future. Damn it.

Damn it. It's cool. You have a different kind of love. You don't get to define my kind of love.

It's like 45 words. Don't be a tried to do teaming. That shit is so funny. Speaking of, will Kale ever get to take a bath in the jacuzzi?

A bath in the jacuzzi. He has an inflatable drink. He does. I absolutely do.

I do not. I do not. Okay. Let me be frank and the jacuzzi is some place to be respective and be honored.

And so I never take a bath in the jacuzzi. No one should ever take a bath in a jacuzzi. You made first. You made the first.

Absolutely I do. I don't understand why this is even a question because it's just becomes like a germ sis pool. It's just a sis pool at that point. It's just a.

I remember the one that used to be in the best place. That was gross. And that was mainly me. It's a 5% water.

Everyone. They did it. They just took a DNA. Oh, my god.

It was 5% water. Eighty percent pain. And like 10% semen. We had to do a 23 and mean test on that and turns out.

Do that koozie. Two percent made of Americans. Very cool. They're going to be a goose that's going to be a goose for this.

Why would you just assume that I'm going to the back? Can I just can I live? Can I just live be? I know no snow will there be more holocross.

Boy, just keep on listening, huh? There's that. Hey, bud. Excuse me, it's called a Talaquan.

Talaquan. Talaquan. Wait until we get to. No more hollicrons, but fuck time.

More hollicrons. We get to hollicron and obelisk one episode, and you will be surprised. It's a happy con. It's a 50% off.

I can fly. I can fly. Where you said, by the way. Fuck off.

Hey, baby. Let's just fight. I'm going to spoil the hollicron homeworld. I can flee that too.

I can flee that too. The hollicron and obelisk. I can flee that too. The hollicron and obelisk.

I can flee the base. Brice wants to know. Here we go. One of the questions we knew was going to come, and why did Willie slash Ross leave the show?

This is a tough one. He and I broke up. Yeah. And Willie broke up.

We just had to figure out how to do it in the show. We needed an impact moment in the show and it was great. Yeah, we needed drama. We said, everyone draws straws.

And then sorry, Ross. Sorry. Sorry. Actually, he was never part of the show.

Yeah, Willie was actually never part of the show. He was all in your imagination. And subscribe to the Mandela Effect theory. Yeah.

If you already thought that, Willie. We all remember Willie Rose. What the hell? It's not Jiffy Peanut Butter.

It's a chiff. OK. OK. Can we cut all of that?

Yeah. I think it's safe to say like, think of it like a TV series where a person may have other opportunities and or get in or tired of what they're doing. And maybe it's that season's over and it's time to move on. And so.

Yeah. We even talked about, because we want to do seasons for the show, like we have a slight spoiler I guess for things to come. But we are kind of ramping up towards the end game of this first season. And so we talked about with his death and stuff with drama actually ending the season there and then taking time to come back.

But we haven't even prepared it for the interim. So more of a mid-season finale. Yeah. That's kind of what it was.

And we were trying to figure out what to do. But we had talked about killing off characters before. Because we don't necessarily want to do that. Or no, like, I want to do.

Well, sometimes you play. Look at the YouTube. Yeah, you want to kill us off. We didn't want to have to re-roll characters, essentially, and have someone play 30 different characters, because they keep getting killed or whatever.

The funny part is Mark Kenobi would still be the same voice for every character you do. Absolutely. Oh, Dark Kenobi. Oh, Mark Kenobi.

Hey, they are all related. Yeah, all related. Dark Kenobi. OK, I'm a dolphin.

But I mean, we could get totally real. Because it's good. What's about that? It's more about when you have a group of people, it is not always a mesh.

And some people have certain ideas for the show. And it's not that. And I had ideas for the show. And it wasn't what I love what the show is.

But when you have expectations of the show, you have specific things that you, as a person, either vibe with or you don't. And sometimes those expectations do not match up reality. And sometimes people are people. And it's not a bad thing.

It's not a bad thing to mismatch. And it's not a bad thing to clash. And it's not a bad thing to want something that maybe somebody else can't have. I think it's like, I think it's like, there's a time that if a person feels like they need to move on, it's just not vibing the same way.

And it doesn't work for what we're doing. But I will say, we're all close friends. We see every Friday night at poker. I mean, there's no ill blood between anybody.

It's not like we don't want to cross. There's just a time to move in a different direction. I have two things to say. The first is that, yeah, we're all still in a relationship with Ross.

We love the shit out of Ross. But playing for a podcast is radically different. And you get different things out of playing around the table recording a podcast than you would out of a normal game. So the experience, none of us had any idea what was going to happen for it and what we were going to get out of it.

And those expectations may not have lined up. I'm not really sure what was going through his head there. But the other thing I want to say is that we played a single fucking D&D game in the 15 years I've been playing, where we didn't lose a single person because it's hard enough to commit once a month, just for fun, let alone having the pressure of having to record and be funny and create narratives. And I'm not saying it's stressful or anything like that.

I'm just saying it's a lot to commit to. Another thing that I feel like every real play or actual play podcast struggles with is entertainment versus rules. And there's a very nice overlap, but there's also a lucky part where it's like, you know, you kind of have to bend something or break something or just disregard it all together for the sake of storytelling. And at the end of the day, story wins.

And I mean, that's how I feel about it. And I could be part of the rules. And you can't please everyone when it comes to rules. And that's just not about Willie, Ro or Ross, it's about some of the fans of the show.

The people that are like, oh, and other real play or actual play podcast that I have. Well, you want to paint a picture because you don't have visual. So it was a visual effect. It would be different.

It would be a whole different gameplay. Look at Taz, look at Dungeons and Daddies. You have these people that will literally sign up, get a Patreon account, join the Discord, and be like, this is why this didn't work. And this is where you miss out.

And it's like this. This rule of this page says this. You want to be such a stickler for the rules. And it is such a cool thing for rules.

But it's also, it's like, you have to tell those specific people it sucks. But we're going to make a story instead of. I mean, that's the right thing about this genre of podcasts. There are a ton of ones listening to it.

But they range. I mean, you have stuff like we do, which we kind of, I leaned on Taz a lot for inspiration as far as how to approach the story and to make it more story driven and character driven than D&D rules related. But there are ones out there that are like, OK, let's break it down. Let's talk about the rules.

Let's take 15, 30 minutes, talk about an attack rule or whatever, and why it works, why it doesn't. Those exist. But that's not what we wanted to do. That's not what I wanted to do.

We're not funny enough to keep your attention and the rules. OK. Yeah. And get one.

OK. You get one. And you don't complain. I mean, we were just going to comment on Facebook where someone was like, love the show.

It's great. But you guys need to make the bad guys more difficult. Because it just sucks to see you guys just go from a one shot in the eye. Which is something that we do struggle with here at the table.

We can say we recorded a session tonight, and we had a space battle. So it was one coming up. But it took us two and a half hours to record it. And in the end, when we got to the rest, I had more planned after that.

But we got down to it. We were tired. We've been doing this for two and a half hours. No one wants to roll anymore.

No one wants to be funny anymore. No one wants to be funny. So it became, I kind of scrapped what we had. And just was like, OK, this is a cinematic moment.

And we changed the format of how we do it. Because one, we went to the end. And I know when I edit that space battle down, it went for two and a half hours. It's going to be 20 minutes max.

Probably less than that. And so it will match the flow of the rest of it. But at the same time, it's just like, the same people that want harder battles are the same people, for me, exactly, are the ones that are like, whoo, this is a lot of time. You know what I mean?

Those are turns. Those are entire turns. And it's either editing all of those turns out and making it look hard or look easy. But it's not.

Also, we're fucking Jedi. And we have forced powers. We have forced powers. It's also a broken socket system.

It's broken as well. It's not like a classic D&D campaign. Yeah, it's definitely not like a 5D or something. We're overpowered.

We're thinking about Star Wars and its origins. It was inspired by the old Buck Rogers serials and those adventure serials where the bad guys fell down in one shot. So for me, it feels like it's in keeping. Also, in entertainment narrative, you don't want to watch a movie where two guys stand across from each other and shoot each other in the chest six times.

And then eventually one of them falls down. It's difficult to make an entertaining player perspective. But it's even more difficult to make that entertaining from an editing perspective. Or even just like when you're with.

And I learned during the Horfist episode that DMing for a game versus something you're recording us two different animals. And I wanted to punch myself for not thinking forward about my narration and things like that. So it dragging battles out. It just takes up a lot of time.

And it ultimately doesn't really reward you a whole lot. I mean, if you really, really think about it, no one's turned really is over in fashion in two or three minutes, maybe five minutes. If you have to look something up. I had three battles in the KLD bag episode that I got to DM.

And that turned into two episodes. I thought it was going to be one very short, very quick episode. And I was like a slawed Ross for making those somewhat difficult battles. But it turns into something very difficult that you have to.

And I've spent a lot of time, especially lately. Because if you go back to the beginning of the show where we are now, there's a definite evolution of the show. So much so that I want to go back. And I just want to start over again.

Yeah. And you can hear that in the fights, too. I mean, when you guys first encounter Old Drag in the casino, I mean, that was a 25 minute battle for nothing. I mean, no one hit anybody.

I think Shubs has a kill in there. I got like two or three kills in there. I think I killed a chair. I shot the lights.

Oh, that was weird. What was the question? We haven't answered the question. I guess we should tie back into it.

What was the question? What was the question? In summation. But I was just saying, the fight seems to cut down.

So that was going back to like, why did Ross leave? I mean, one of the reasons was he wanted it to be more d&d. He wanted more rules. He did not necessarily care for the narration, the story.

Or the lacks. And the lacks of rules and stuff. I mean, what's a crunchier game? More numbers heavy.

Yeah. And more rule heavy, too. There's nothing wrong with that. It just didn't fit in what we were doing.

And in the story, we came to a point where, like, me and Doug discussed, they just sort of fit to have his character. Have a meanie diet this month. And we'll get to that. We've got questions about that, too.

So we'll get there. But next question, still from Bryce. We're still in the Patreon section. We've got it.

We've got it. Bryce, my dude. This one is for Ryla. How did you come up with Ryla's character?

OK, so I was actually binge watching the Dragon Prince. And I fell in love with Rayla. Oh my god. I just thought.

Oh, that sounds like a completely honest here. I mean, that's where it started. It's just like a Loki ripoff. That's where it started.

And I always wanted to be a toilet. So I just went with Rayla and then Rayla and Rayla and I kind of be the guy. Sorry. Sorry, not sorry.

Sorry. Interesting. You know what happened to the casino ship that Willie was working on before his death to that good story as well. No, if you go back to 43, 44, which episode it is, that boy.

It's still there. It was given to his. It's been against. It's been against.

It was one of those. It was one of those. It was one of those. It was like just like this.

And his dad fucking turned into a bit against. I hate this. A giant fucking bit against. Yeah.

7,000 square feet. It is bigger than that. Can you imagine the amount of knickknacks that put on those walls? Oh god, you get lost because they're repeating themselves.

There's only so many knickknacks. I've seen the same French horn. But yeah, no. It's too early to father to turn to like a research center.

What do I want to do with a better research center? Ooh. Okay. Is Mark still again, we got a lot of Bryce gave us a flax on the questions until I say they're not from Bryce.

It's who they are. Bryce, come on, bud. Is Mark still rocking the white lightsaber and is Ryla's red? Mine.

Have we come to that part? Yes, you've built your lightsaber. You've built yours. And we've discussed it and it is still like.

Yeah. It's rather than still like. It's an issue. My light whip is red, but my saber is actually a blue.

Yeah. Someone she combines them to the great saber. It's purple. It's like.

Yeah. So in my saber, I have written down. I have a Genro crystal in my saber, which gives off that blue color. And then I have a Solari.

Solari. Solari. All right. So for those nerds out there, what that means.

There you go. Technically. Technically. Not of a mark.

This is not of a mark. This is their old hyper, but. But they do give me like additional bonuses. So what do I like?

There's a specific reason we picked this. Can Ryla use force lightning? It's on your paper. I don't think so.

Do you know? Do you know that? What is this? What's happening?

You were trained by a Sith. I mean, the thing is when I was with dramatists, we were learning the ways of like the gray Jedi. So I wanted to learn the balance of both. So I feel like I'd be interested in dabbling in it, but not in like a dark side kind of.

Yeah, but you got dark side points. So you could. So it seems like a canchy? No, mitechy?

Maybe. I'm like spoilers. Yeah. I haven't even really decided myself.

How did she come to train with dramatists and what caused their falling out? So bad Tinder date. Bad Tinder date. In my backstory, dramatists came, like found me, I think he sent me through the force and the skills and the talent I had and wanted to like recruit me in and kind of, I was on my own at this point, I was a assassin for Jim Daro and that got me to turn on Jim Daro for something better and different.

I want to balance in my life. I want to be someone's dog anymore. The falling out I think was just his long term goal in general. I was in the way I didn't want to be.
