8th September- Mark 1 v.1-15- Pete Foster

In a powerful sermon, Pete Foster- one of the elders at Philip Street Chapel- introduces us to John the Baptist and his role in heralding the arrival of God's long awaited King. Pete shows us some of the paradoxes around Jesus coming- he was expected, yet unexpected; he was all-powerful and sinless, yet identified with humanity in all our weaknesses and failings; he was the King of Kings, yet lived as one of us. Best of all Pete explains how through Jesus we can be beloved children of the living God and know that we have a Father in heaven who delights in us. Simply, this is too good to be missed.
