9.19.2021 Lighten Up (Part 2)

Today, Bishop Rodgers continues with the series "Lighten Up" from Philippians 4:8. Dry humor is a form of delivery in which something humorous is said or done by a person, while not exhibiting a change in emotion or facial expression. It is implied or indirect humor which deepens on how the audience responds. Since Jesus was divine, He would have the capacity to be infinitely happy, but His temporary humanity would mask the depth of His joy. It is logical to conclude that our sense of humor originated from God and Jesus. Since humans can find certain things funny, and make humorous techniques to have a little fun, so can God. Bishop provides several examples of the way Jesus used hyperbole to make a point and humor. We pray as you listen to this message, you will find your sense of humor and laugh more.
