(9.26.2021) Balancing Attitude and Action

from The DCC Podcast · host Dayspring Christian Center

Today, Bishop Rodgers continues to teach from Philippians 4:9 on how believers need to balance between attitude and action. We cannot separate outward action and inward attitude. Sin always result in unrest and purity ought to result in peace. Apostle Paul teaches us balance involves four activities: "learned & received" and "heard & seen." It is one thing to learn a truth, but it is totally different in receiving a truth inwardly and making it part of our inner man. Facts in one's head is not enough. We must have the truth in our hearts. Apostle Paul's experience should be every believer's experience. We must "learn the Word of God, receive it, hear it and do it." Bishop describes how "peace" is divided into three categories. In James 4, we learn the causes of war: Wrong praying, Wrong thinking & Wrong living. We grow little or big by the ideals we cherish and the thoughts we dwell on. Victory over harmful thoughts cannot be achieved by suppressing them, but only by supplanting them with right thinking. We pray as you listen to this message, you will be able to balance your attitude with right action. We pray you have a safe and bless week!
