9) A Word of Water and Fire (2 Peter 3:1-7)

The 9th sermon in the series, 2 Peter: Sharing in God's Life Now that Peter has thoroughly rebuked the false teachers, he turns his attention back to encouraging the saints. He tells them to remember the words of the prophets and apostles, that will come to comprise the Old and New Testaments, all of which is about Jesus Christ. Remembering, trusting, and obeying these words will ensure that, just as God delivered his people from the judgment of the flood, so will he deliver them from a coming judgment of fire.
