Episode Description
This week I’m talking to Eva Paterson.
Eva owns the Choose You yoga studio and wellness hub in Livingston, Scotland and in this podcast episode we kick off talking about Eva’s route into teaching yoga (she qualified first as a children’s yoga teacher, then travelled to India to gain her Sivananda teacher training certificate and then qualified as an IYENGAR teacher in October 2016).
After becoming frustrated about availability of quality space for her own yoga classes, Eva took matters into her own hands. She set up her wellness centre to facilitate her own teaching and to make herself financially self sufficient so we’ll talk about how she has managed to do that.
Then, in January 2019, Eva had a very very serious health scare - so serious that it was nearly game over so Eva will talk us through what happened and how she believes yoga was fundamental in not just her survival, but also her recovery. I met Eva during a yoga teachers retreat (hosted by Dawn Wright from episode 2) and I was so shocked and moved when she told her story - I can’t wait for you to hear it.
