And there seems to be universal truths in philosophy and religion and psychology and sociology and. And the more I thought about this, the more I found five that seemed to fit best for the work that I've done. 1. We all have traumas. Suffering is a universal experience. 2. We often have to go backwards to know how to go forwards. Relapse is part of the process.3. Substances do nobody any good.4. Decisions are always way better than indecisions.5.
