The organization was founded in December 2012 after the passing of Mindy’s husband, Rich, to colorectal cancer at the young age of 43. Mindy stepped into action and envisioned the ability to offer services along with events to increase screening rates and education.   HCB2 was established as 501(c)3 in April of 2013 and has served thousands of community members and provided leadership in colorectal cancer education.
