9: JMToWin's Best Ball Draft Pack :: 4 Draft Composition

from One Week Season · host One Week Season

From JMToWin As I mapped and structured what was intended to be a *written* course on Best Ball Tourney Drafting, I continued to run into topics that weren’t quite tidy enough to fit into the confines of a compact, written course; topics that were many-sided and multi-layered in ways that would come more fully into focus in a conversational setting. In thinking through the ways in which I could solve these problems, I began talking (to myself) out loud through a handful of my Best Ball tourney drafts on Underdog, walking through my thought processes as if I were doing the draft live for subscribers, and watching for answers that might help me understand how best to present my thoughts in written form. After running through a couple drafts in this manner, it hit me :: what better way to share a nuanced look at many-sided, multi-layered topics than to do exactly what I had just been doing: talking out loud through a handful of my drafts! In the 2021 Best Ball Draft Pack, we included 7 lessons. The first 4 audio lessons can be found on podcast networks. The final 3 video lessons can be found here for free! Lesson 1 - "Tourney Basics"  :: 40-minute segment exploring many of the foundational elements of Best Ball Tourney Drafting. Lesson 2 - "WR Anchored" :: Exploring a past draft of 4 WRs taken with the first 5 picks. Lesson 3 - "RB Anchored" :: Exploring a past draft starting RB, RB, RB. Lesson 4 - "4 Draft Composition" ::  25-minute segment that takes a quick look at the team composition of four additional “past drafts,” in order to get a feel for the various ways in which the elements in this course can come together onto a roster. Lessons 5-7 :: We wrap this course putting all of these elements into action “in the moment,” with three *Live Drafts* (video format) in which we can see these elements come together in real-time. Use the promo code "DRAFTPACK" for Free access to the final three lessons.
