Samson was a he-man with a she weakness.  Samson is probably the most well-known of all the Judges & yet he is the least heroic, least obedient, & least commendable.  Samson is far from a paragon of virtue & so his judgeship demonstrates the sad state of affairs when everyone does what is right in their own eyes.
