from EARLY - The Business of web3 from Bankless Consulting · host Bankless Consulting

Welcome to EARLY, the podcast about web3 business from Bankless Consulting. DSide's guest today is Michael Holdman, a successful serial entrepreneur, accomplished salesman and founder,  with over four startups to his name. He has been involved in the telecommunications and internet industry since the early 1980s, spanning about four decades. He is credited with the founding of one of the first Application Service Providers (ASPs), an innovation that has now evolved to what we call the "cloud".  He began his successful entrepreneurial career with a profitable exit from an interconnect telephone company in Las Vegas, Nevada, while he was still in college. He is the founder and CEO of PraSaga, a next generation layer one blockchain with a focus on solving some of the limitations that currently bedevil existing layer one blockchain technology.  In this episode, Michael Holdmann speaks about his transitioning from the cloud services business to the blockchain. He shares his views on decentralized data ownership and how PraSaga is helping to realize a future that will allow players across many industries to adopt blockchain technology with ease. Michael and DSide discuss the core of PraSaga's blockchain infrastructure with an emphasis on its use cases and what particular good it can do for society.    ***Timestamps*** 1:37 - A walk down memory lane : Interconnect telephone companies and Application Service Providers 7:08 - The cloud as Michael's inspiration to get on the blockchain 11:09 - Decentralizing data ownership: Your data should be yours to own and control! 12:50 - The PraSaga Origin 19:26 - Smart contracts as the operating system for the future and how they work 27:33 - How best can we make blockchain technology appeal to normies? 30:07 - Innovative uses of blockchain technology in real life scenarios 32:24 - Partners building projects on the SagaChain 36:30 - Learning and earning with PraSaga - Why Python as a programming language? 40:24 - Encouraging adoption and ensuring the security of the SagaChain using PoS and PoW 49:00 - Blocks, minting and rewards on the SagaChain 53:10 -Incentivizing the health and Pharmaceutical industries to onboard on the SagaChain 56:00 - The future with PraSaga   ***Additional Resources*** Bitcoin PraSaga Python Hedera If you found this show informative, enlightening, fun, or just plain fire - please leave us a review on Apple podcasts to help us grow!
