9. Predator (1987)
from Movies Will Save The World Hosted by Chris Peterson and Glen Cooper
What more can be said about such a classic action movie as Predator? Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger at the peak of his career and coming at a time when audiences were primed for non-stop bullet-fests punctuated by quippy one-liners, what wasn't to love? And yet, Predator seems to hold up where many 80s action movies have faded. Is it because this movie stars two future governors? Is it the most epic of epic handshakes ever captured on film? Or is there a deep connection to our culture that stands the tests of time? Okay it's probably not that, but it's still a great movie and worthy of discussion. Join us on this week's episode as we discuss these questions and more. Theme: Baby Oil and Biceps
