In 2018, Sarah learned of a single mother with four children in desperate need of clothing. After quickly mobilizing with the help of friends, Sarah was able to provide clothes for the children. This experience opened her eyes to the widespread need for basic clothing and essentials among families. It was then that Boxes of Basics, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was born. Since its inception, over 5,000 children have been helped through the efforts of Sarah and the dedicated volunteers, employees, and donors who support the organization. In this podcast, Sarah shares her journey and the powerful impact of community support in making a difference for children in need.
