Racism is alive and real, even in your small suburban Canadian town.  This week we spill some more tea on a racist experience Angelene had in Ladner.  For those of you who are not familiar, Ladner is a town of just over 22,000 people in Delta, British Columbia.  It was established as a fishing and farming village in 1868 by European settlers who initially pursued the Fraser River gold rush.  Growing up here as dark skin Fijians who are descendants of Girmit and do not entertain any form of racism or microaggressions it was extremely tiring to constantly be on the defence.  We still live in both these places; Ladner and being in a constant state of defence.   Follow us on Instagram Producer: Mat Trewhit @mattrewhit Podcast: @noties1879podcast Angelene: @angelenekp Ashneil: @ashneilprakash
