#9 Stanley Milgram: Obedience

from Vili · host Chris Vailalo

In 1961, a social psychologist by the name of Stanley Milgram conducted the famous Obedience experiments. They illustrated that ordinary people could be directed by someone perceived to be a figure of authority, to do things, like harm people. There is a documentary film on the study called Obedience which you can watch for free on YouTube. In this episode I discuss the experiment with excerpts from the documentary film and talk about its aspects and, more importantly, the implications for us.
