Unless you've been living under a rock, you are probably aware that AirBNB is taking over the hotel market. In 3 words, here's why: Price, Authenticity and Flexibility. Price because most of the time, staying in an AirBNB is often cheaper than a hotel especially when travelling in a group. Authenticity because when travelling abroad, people want to get a real taste of local life. You are unlikely to experience this 'sense of place' when you book a hotel full of impersonal rooms, tourists and trained hospitality staff.   And Flexibility because for the duration of their stay it is their home and they are often closer to where they wish to be. Hotel owners don’t need to compete on price if you can be more flexible and offer an authentic experience.
