#90 From welfare to growth hacking my way to the top with @VincentDignan, Author of “Secret Sauce”

Vincent Dignan is the co-author of "Secret Sauce: The Ultimate Course to Growth Hacking & Marketing Course," which has raised nearly $80,000 through Kickstarter and Indiegogo after just one's preparation time. After interviewing co-author Austen in episode #86, we had to invite Vincent to onto the podcast to share his remarkable story. If you haven't heard of him yet, you will soon. Vincent was living on welfare and benefits 3 years ago, until he received a check for $250,000 for one of his ideas. He then used the growth hacking techniques he was learning to get millions of visitors to websites he created and raise hundreds of thousands of dollars in investment, and got into the Techstars accelerator. He then launched a growth hacking agency and have used these techniques to move hundreds of thousands of people to websites, and acquire tonnes of users and followers for startups: • In July 2012 he started content site Planetivy.com, reaching 300,000+ visitors a month by November • In 2015 he “Hijacked” the #SXSW hashtag and got 1,700 people to attend an event at SXSW 2015 • He's also done dozens of live speeches on growth hacking and startups around the world, including more than 35 events in North America. During the interview Vincent shares some of his best tips and strategies for driving large amounts of visitors, users, business, and influence using free methods.
