I does. Well, pan brake or the manual. Oh, does it? Good afternoon.
Good afternoon. Good evening and merry Christmas. Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho. Panorones joined with Hilil and stuffer.
We're doing another one of our live drives. We're actually driving my wife's Christmas present. So, ho, ho, ho. We're inside an AMG 835 sedan.
And first impression is how are you to add a walk around? Yeah, I've never used the kitchen changer. If I go make a right turn here or let, I'll go into reverse. If you're because your foot's on the brake.
You might do it on your drive. Yeah, it'll go to neutral. Neutral. So, Mercedes quirks, the gear stick is on the right selector, where a Japanese car's blinkers will be.
We're trying this. We're going to try it? No, no, no, no. I'll take the one on his bike.
Yeah. No, but if you made it, this would be something that someone would do it. True. But what?
It's going to happen on the first minute they're getting the car. They're going to be like, oh, you know, if you haven't driven a car that has the impact on the thing. It's fine. True.
The first thing you're going to do is is I try to go left now because it's neutral. There you go. You did it. Well, the lock's out into neutral doesn't go to reverse.
If you're driving in the actual pre-neutral. Side issue, there's a YouTube video. There's a guy that I think was a Mandaya, or I don't know if it was a Renault car. He wants to see what happens when you put the automatic from driving to reverse on the freeway.
So there's a YouTube video. That's a big build up. There's a big build up. Anyway, so you're inside the A35.
So those who aren't familiar with Mercedes, they've got the gear indicator. Gear selector on where the right indicator is. And you're left to see a blinker and your wipers and cruisers on the actual steering. First, the pressure's be.
I like it. It's a good size, isn't it? I'm not sold on the two foot tablet for the dash, for the MBUX. I think the MBUX is good.
But I'm just not sold on the whole gadget. Everything's there. Everything's there. And I don't know if I want to be buying money five years time.
You've got to get familiar with it. And you know what you do when you first get in it? For the first half hour, you don't look up and you're driving. You're trying to configure it.
And there's a million in one ways you configure it. For example, it looks like one big screen. So the left side's all your nav, stereo, the rest of it. The right side is your dials.
But you can change it like the Audi, put all maps through it. You can scroll through it. So how's now? There's thumb buttons where you can scroll through different modes.
But you know what happens at the end of the day? You're leaving the classic dials. There's one that looks like a bloody Star Wars three-dimensional Tetris-looking screen with, then you can put in a sport mode. We've got a big taco in the middle of the key selector.
But yeah, you do sort of muck around. I think you used to it. But it's sort of like any other similar to the Audi dash. It's pretty much they all do the same thing.
I just like the analog dials. Like the needle, no electronics. See, I think we were speaking about it a little while ago. With my Audi, I've got the two analog dials.
Yes, with the big. But I've got the center cluster. That's got all the screen. And it even gives me the Google Earth Maps if I want.
No, it's very similar to what's in here. Because you can't be running that middle. Yeah. But yeah, look, there are lovely pages really.
The other thing, the other thing. I mean, it's in comfort mode. But it's really smooth. Yeah, it takes you to a spunk.
Because hell, I was now driving in my mode. There's Mary mode and Peter mode. The car sometimes recognizes you last night. But it gives you the option of picking the name as you've said it.
And it remembers your seat settings. And I've left it in comforted default, just in case my wife doesn't realize it. And then you hit the button. Similar to the M button, it goes to iPhone individual.
And then you basically pranks it up in the sport. And now that we're moving, the suspension's not too firm. I mean, I had visions of the old A45 when I got in. And that was bone jarring.
Oh, don't crash. Where this is pretty firm. If you don't have it, you can't hit the C button. And it goes into I-A to press the button to push it.
And now it's in my setting. So you've got the engine in sport, the geezer in order, the shazillion in sport. So you feel a little bit tighter, but not bone jarring. You can feel the difference.
And the engine's a little bit more alive now. So if you do not get it, it is other points. But it will find like I do the madhouse and do some time trials. But that's it.
So warming period. Is that good? As of tonight, I think. We've got about 800k's on it.
Maybe the A45, I think about five more controls the first 100k's. So I get to try this for the first three days. I'll let her enjoy it. And she's even left the plastic on the dash.
Has been ripped off the cover, eat plastic. And she's a fan. She's actually, she's not a real big car person. I mean, I went in blind with this Christmas present and she actually likes it.
The Fade Grand Hell, it's a good all-round package. It's a nice sporty car. It's very compliant. Sorry, I forgot to cut it.
It's smooth, it's direct with the steering. I mean, I've got it in comfort mode and the steering is still pretty direct. I mean, it's, you know, you're not getting an H250 so you're getting a few more bells and whistles with that. Do you have to take us off to the customer from over here?
No, it's over here. It's not over here. It's not over here. It's not over here.
It's not over here. It's not over here. It's pretty much fully loaded. I mean, there could have been a couple more options that could have got that.
You could have got the sports seats like the A45 but it's not necessary for. Yeah, for a daily. Not for a daily. And the other option was to hit up display with Burmyser Stereo.
The stereo is pretty good. Hit up display, you could configure the dash to have the Spino in digits up high anyway. So you don't really figure it. I don't think the head up is anything like the B and WN cars.
I've got the head up in the Jiggya sound and I'm going to really use it. The Audi always have the similar one. You've got here, you have the big numbers, you have to set a cop pass on. So, yeah, it's really smooth.
It's quirks. I was driving home at 11 o'clock. This is Deastry isn't it? Yes, 7 speed.
Very smooth. It's pretty good. No, not jerky, like a mccarn. Yes, but that's a poor stupa kupa kupa kum.
You're going to go double ganga. Go double ganga. Back to seat, shifter. So basically...
No, no, no, no, it's... It's like an old fucking bird auto. We just hit down very slowly. I think it'll adjust when you drive in anger and have it yet.
I'm going to do it. Quirts. I was coming home at 11 o'clock at night at night and for some stupid reason, the night club lights, my wife's got inside a purple blue car that she likes, Ocean Blurling's called, it went red, bright red and some, it sounded like a marching band from New Orleans and the seat was moving up down like just every 22nd. It must be some kind of wake up of your driving device, it must be so that you're getting tired, I wasn't tired and this thing just started with a big band and a weight went.
It was a little quirk and the A45's into it, it's pretty good that it picks up the car in your side mirror but if you're turning right in the double lane, it's screaming like you're unloading. That's been, you had your A45, I was going to say 24C class and that's been doing that as well so they've been doing it for a decade now. Yeah, so I fixed it. So yeah, it's another work.
Another thing that my wife doesn't know how she did it, she switched off hate Mercedes. So I've got to find a way to switch her back on in her mode. It works amazing. Yeah, so it's just a matter of sitting down and working it out.
But I don't think that. The week and a half that we've had it, it's been like a panorooff, rattle-free panorooff and you can have a seat, he's as close as the sun blind. Okay, maybe she doesn't know that. We're talking.
But you can give it commands like that. I showed off in my wife tongue and I was feeling cold and the temperature went up a notch or two. But it's, I can't go back to the value equation. There's a problem with that.
Why do you think it's going to work that out? I'm going to start saying, shit, like, and the CDs turned down, sick, keep it on. So now she woke up. It's just glowing on the screen.
It's on your side. Close, sun blind. There you go. Oh, wow.
Isn't that amazing? Wow. So yeah. So you've got, it's like having a P in the car.
Okay, this thing's more useful than my assistant, let me. I don't know if it's going to be able to make you out of here, I'll tell you a part of you. I don't care, neither can I. No, I'm fine.
I'm fine. I've got to go off breakfast, go on to the post office, come back, my sun blinds, it'll still be open. So it does little things like that. I'm going to get to bed.
I'm going to get to bed. I'm going to get to bed. I'm going to get to bed. To do some time trials, but.
It's no strong. It's smooth. It's very smooth. I mean, it's, I'll put it into, I mean, that's sport plus.
So I don't know if it's, I can feel the throttle response. Yeah. Right. So it is double points.
We've ever done a scan yet to see if there's any cops around here. Another little quirk that I didn't like, it's got Apple CarPlay. But what it does, it's not integrated in the screen. What it does is the Apple CarPlay is like an overlay over the original Mercedes screen.
So when you get things happening with a car. It sort of covers it. I try to avoid it. I use, it's got the automatic charging.
So your phone is charging automatically. So it's got, that's not too strong. Like, it's stronger through the board than doing it wirelessly. So what I've done, I've pretty much done it in sport.
Everything, the engine sport. So I think the sport, everything. I don't from memory think. If you've got it, it's in.
You just don't press the, yeah, limit there. You can turn the circuit up and press the button. So now you're in sport, everything. Dig down.
Got it. That's move. Yeah, not too much. It's, it's, it's just as accused down.
So the automatic adjusters to steering. That's, that's interesting. The steering wheel was not infirm. Yep.
It's real good. Pick up. It goes. Not as, not as boardy as a A45.
It's not manic. It's not manic. This is, this is a nice balance between like, like, dying from an A250 to a, to a, to a sort of like an A45. So the A45 this is really incredible.
Yeah. I mean, I think many, many wives or girlfriends, you know, unless they really into back-jurring experiences. Well, my wife hated my A45. She would have always driving it.
One was there, I would want to drag her. And two, she just found it like it was a ferrule. Just wanted to go where this car, you can dumb it down. And even in comfort mode, if you whack it, it'll respond and go with you.
So it's, it's a very good car. Very room. The girls like out the back. There's plenty of room.
It's a little bit tight, but it's still, it's a sedan. You know, you can fit things in there. It's not, you know, if you really need the space, you probably go a, a GLA or, with the same type of setup. Are we manual mode now?
So I'm sure from the outside that you could hear the snap crack on the pop, but it's not as loud or fatty. It's almost like, we've got a GTI just short of an R level. Yeah. It's a good sound.
It's nice. Yeah, nice. It's a dance. Nice.
It's a nice, I mean, you can live with this a nice daily. Yeah. A45, I did drive one of a thousand, I got one. You got a nickel, a couple of thousand.
Oh, yes. Good to say. Listen up. Yeah.
It's a rocket ship, but that does have the nice control seats. Okay. Like, it's, yeah, I need to get out of the car. Yeah.
Two, two, way to Steve. It probably was knowing everything was in sport, sport, sport, sport, sport. Yeah, of course. But a little bit too, and I'm not okay.
A little bit too manic to the daily, for me. Yeah. And this is quite subtle too, even from the outside. You've got the ancient wheels.
But to the fair, I didn't, I didn't drive the car. He drove it and I looked as a, is that an A45? That's a CLA one? That's a CLA.
That's a CLA. A45. Okay. Well, I didn't drive it and maybe in comfort mode, if you left any comfort in any different, but I actually like the CLA.
Yeah, the CDAN doesn't come in the A45. If it's the only A45. Yeah. So the 45 comes out, it's not out yet in the GLA.
It's out obviously in the hatch. It's out in the CLA, so if you want a 45 CDAN, you're not going to see a CLA. And I don't like the shape of those. It looks like an offense out of a booth in Squashford.
Where this is a big more C-class looking, it'll be classy I think. And makes up a third-end grand jury by then an equivalent CLA 35. You're looking at a hundred round where this is like 82 on road. Oh, he's out of there.
What? Well, hang on a second. Hang on a second. What the?
What? Like I'm telling you, there's so many things. This comes with so many layers. Like, hang on a minute.
You just got louder? Okay. Here we go. Alright, let's listen to these.
Let's make sure it's nice and safe. It's great. Wake up. It's a little bit quicker than that.
You can actually feel the... That's a bit louder too. Yeah, a little bit louder. A little bit more snap crack apart.
You can actually feel that a little bit more urgent as well. Very interesting. Very interesting. So, there we have it.
I like it. A 35. I like it, Pete. I don't know if I understand this in the comfort.
So are we just going to cruise back home now? Yeah. And I don't know if it goes too quickly. I wonder if...
I wonder if... I wonder if... This would be a good engine in a C-class. Because the 200 and the 300, right?
It's almost like, why don't you just drop the 300 altogether now? It's a peppy call. It's a C-35 or something like that. It's a peppy little engine.
I mean, give the C-300 this. And then you've got the C-43. And give the 200, the 300 engine. Because that one's the 1.5 later.
Right? Well, it's heavy. The C-concluded? The C-concluded?
The C-concluded? Yeah, no. It's a shelf life now. So, but it's going to be interesting because it's only a couple days' time.
The next live drive is confirmed is a Yaris GR. You've been giving the three seal and that big block. It's got 200 Ks apparently. It's one of our listeners that's called me up and we're going to drive that during the week.
So, yeah. So, thumbs up. What do you think? The A-35?
Yeah, but it's a great, so a cracking car. It's a great, so a cracking car. Like, if you can afford it, it's a good value car. There's nothing in the C-con a lot of that.
Performs and has features like it. It's the case. It's not the biggest car. It's not an E-class or anything like that.
Even a C-sub, it's a bit bigger. But, but, oh, I saw it just earlier when you walked up to Bp now. And she was happy. She said lovely songs.
Yeah. She said lovely plays. That's why she said something on the wedding. What did you buy her for Christmas?
I saw it. Like I said at the start of the show, we had to drive here. Chris is present. Don't ask me what I got for Christmas.
What did you get for Christmas? We had to debate about whether we hired the car. We had to have it for a week earlier. Yeah.
But the play had worked until two. Yeah. She went shopping after she got these. Yeah.
I know it's true. It's true. It's not what you got. It's sad.
I mean, she wanted to bring up the picture. So, she'll pick you some time. Yeah. Anyway.
So, that's right. Yeah. I had to expect an A-45. That reminds me of one of the Big Bang Theory episodes where Penny gets shown that this limited edition thing, whatever it was, you know who it was.
It was Spock's napkin from the restaurant with Spock's signature on it. And he goes, this, this has his DNA. And then he goes out. And he gets like 500 presents for it.
Take everything. Yeah. Yeah. Anyways.
So. One more piece of news. One more piece of news. Far away.
We don't know when Ross is going to turn up. So, usually we have the big major news. He sees filming that on a once away. A once away.
The green machine went back out to the trunk. Oh, did you know it went that way? Yes, when it went that way. Okay.
10, 58, 131 mile an hour. Okay. Fastest. Stop cam.
Have I say injured? The country. There you go. Congratulations.
And on Instagram you saw the Santa was driving you. The Santa was on the boot lid. Yeah. Adventurement's car is on my car.
I would never let Santa sit on my boot lid. Okay. I bet my wife is being in the car twice. Okay.
Yeah. And none of it was well racing against the cruiser. There you go. All cars come up this week.
