91 The Daniel Fast

from Biblical Nutrition Academy Podcast · host Annette Reeder

Ready to start the Daniel fast? Learn more about the foods to eat and avoid - and the key ingredient to succeeding in the Daniel fast!   I got to eat mostly canned vegetables and fruit. Can't afford fresh fruit and vegetables for two weeks.  Have no fridge or freezer go. Bad one day  . Anyway . Only can get them once in a while. Will still honor the fast . Can't afford organic, not an option. (Amber Walters)   The Daniel fast is 80% spiritual and 20% physical. If canned vegetables and fruit are what can fit your budget, then it is fine. The most important thing is your intention for doing the Daniel fast, which is your connection with God.    Hi Annette, just found your videos and I'm enjoying them! Please could you tell me, is spelt flour okay for the Daniel Fast. Also, are spices like cayenne, turmeric, and garam masala okay for the Daniel fast? Thank you in advance. (Jesus The Branch)   Yes, spelt flour, as well as spices are okay on the Daniel fast. You can also check out this post to learn more on what to buy and eat on the Daniel fast https://thebiblicalnutritionist.com/h...   Are potatoes okay to eat on the Daniel Fast? (Willy)   Potatoes are fine, as long as these are not foods that you are addicted to. But I would not put butter or sugar on the potatoes. You can make potato soup and other wholesome recipes with these ingredients https://thebiblicalnutritionist.com/r...   You are such a blessing honestly I'm only a few minutes in and I already like you. You are very comforting and encouraging. I'm 18 days in my Daniel Fast but I've decided to start over again because I overlooked a lot of stuff when getting started. I didn't know that you should not eat foods with yeast, rice, fried food, sauces with sugar (which I didn't even know it had sugar), my mom used to make me porridge which I didn't know that because I asked her not to put sugar she substituted with honey and an awful lot of peanut butter. What I have been doing was something else, not a Daniel Fast. I'm starting over. The Daniel Fast has helped me with what I wanted even though unfortunately I didn't involve God as I should have, it did help me with what I wanted regardless but it was all just physical. I didn't get closer to God or anything. I've made up my mind and I've decided to just start over again and stick with vegetables and fruits only. God be with me, Amen! (Uri Leppard)   Congratulations for doing the Daniel fast for spiritual reasons! The Daniel fast offers numerous benefits not just for our body but also our mind and spirit. If you need some guide on how to start and stick to the Daniel fast, I highly recommend that you check out my book https://thebiblicalnutritionist.com/p...   I hope you enjoyed this video. I look forward to reading and responding to your comments soon!
