91: The EAC Foundation, Megan Cosby and Amber Axtell

from The Wiregrass Local Podcast · host The Wiregrass Local

The EAC Foundation is a non-profit that has been set up to raise money for Children's Cardiomyopathy research. Ellis Ann Cosby was born May 15, 2016 to Megan and David Cosby. She was the perfect little sister and friend to Harper. She was always a happy baby and appeared perfectly healthy. In mid-October of 2016 her feeding decreased. She was taken to her pediatrician where she had no fever and was diagnosed with an ear infection. A week after her visit with the pediatrician, she stopped breathing and was rushed to the hospital. Her heart had enlarged three times the normal size for a six-month-old. She passed away November 1, 2016. During Ellis Ann’s life, she always had a smile on her face and she was the sweetest baby. The EAC Foundation raises money for research and awareness of Children’s Cardiomyopathy, and provide grief resources to other parents who have experienced the loss of a child.
