916 Tough Love

Tough love is never easy. But it's a critical strategy to living a fulfilled life. How can this be? However, today's confessions doesn't have anything to do with the children. It's all about you and tough love. You are so focused on taking care of the family, the business, the community, and then you have nothing left for you.  The tough love is all about YOU! Taking care of you so you can have more energy, more drive, more focus, and more enthusiasm for all your responsibilities and commitments in your life. It's time to own up to living off of the rush and hush of all the demands in your life. You are letting the most important people and moment slip through your days. My children called me out on this. They questioned why I was crabby. After thinking about it and reflecting, I realized I was letting everything I couldn't control, control me. We all face this. And sometimes we get in this funk longer than a blip on the radar. And that's a dangerous place to be too. In order to have a fulfilled life, you have to "show up filled up".
