Climbing the ranks, she ascended to the role of Vice President of Opera1ons at a prominent courier company. At 24, fueled by ambition and determination, Lorena ventured out on her own entrepreneurial path. Faced with skepticism from traditional lenders due to her age, Lorena tapped into her network, securing a $25,000 loan from a friend of a friend to found PearlTrans Logistics in Los Angeles. At PearlTrans, innovation, quality, and teamwork form the cornerstone of operations. The company specializes in tailored same-day delivery solutions, leveraging a blend of courier services, trucking, and airfreight to meet the unique requirements of diverse clients, ranging from healthcare facilities to military bases and movie studios. In 2020, Lorena was elected to the board of directors of the Customized Logistics & Delivery Association (CLDA), who advocates for the final mile sector of the supply chain. As the youngest woman and first Latina elected, she champions the interests of women-owned and minority owned businesses while advocating for inclusivity and diversity within the industry. Previously, Lorena served as an executive board member for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) in both Los Angeles and Silicon Valley. She is a graduate of the Executive Management Program at UCLA Anderson School of Management and has been recognized as one of Verizon's Women in Business. Recently, PearlTrans Logistics achieved a remarkable milestone by securing a coveted spot on Inc magazine's esteemed Inc 5000 list.
