Specifically you will learn: The importance of data in elite teams How to contextualise data for athletes and coaches What athletes can do to maximise their data use About Casper "Cas de Wit is the Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Sport Scientist for the Judo programme at Olympic Training Centre Papendal. He has a background in rowing. Throughout his studies he participated in Crossfit and Powerlifting. He changed his academic studies from cognitive neuroscience to human movement science as he was more interested in physiology, training, and S&C. Directly after his masters he undertook an internship at S&C Coach at Sport Centrum Papendal, with the Dutch Olympic Team. In the Olympic program you get to work with a smaller programmes when starting out, for Casper this included Motocross, Volleyball, and Olymic archery team which he did for 3,5 years. His work with the Judo program is 60/40% S&C/Sport Science. The hybrid function works because of the good team in the program. Doing both role allows him to be pesent with the athletes a lot and find out where opportunities for improvement are regarding both S&C and science.
