Here we go, don't mate, eh? Spin a while, hasn't it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Come on, let's go back.
You're probably gonna have to go back about 10, and say something, if I'm just gonna be as well. But, so, do you know what I mean? It's OG, yeah. So, we'll just get straight into it, mate.
Covid. You've got the old Covid, don't you? You've got to thought, you know, in the middle of 2022, you wouldn't be getting it. You know, I mean, I got it early in the year, didn't I?
I got it in, like, you know, March time or something. It was, yeah. And I thought, fuck me. I've got one of the last motherfuckers to get Covid.
And I was laughing at you at that time. And it's dickhead. And then I get it. I don't know what the fuck?
Yeah, a bit late to the party, but... Yeah, first time. First time? First time.
Yeah, yeah. Are you happy you got it, mate? Or did you kind of gutted that you nearly made it through? Because this is my thought.
I nearly fucking made it through the whole way, being Wolverine, and not being infected by it, and all the pussy's got it. But I did get it in the end. Yeah, that's exactly how it was. It's like motherfuckers.
Like, this close. This close to being, like, king. Exactly. You had taken your monkey pox whatever, wouldn't you?
Yeah, you know, you had to... Well, it's just different. That's new, isn't it? That's new.
I would have been the first one, was that, you see? Yeah, exactly. I don't know much about that monkey pox shit, but it doesn't look very nice. No, I probably don't want that.
No, I think you take the milky lane COVID that it is now that everyone's going to walk it down. Yeah, it did knock me out for a couple of days, but then after that, it's been fine. Yeah, completely fucked me over. Like, it was a good solid week of just feeling just absolutely wiped out.
I didn't have a bit of a sheet coughing or anything, but I didn't feel too bummed up. I was just like, just no energy whatsoever. Yeah. That's been the killer.
And like, whenever we've had deliveries, because we're at the top of the flat, so it's like two flights down, two flights up, and they seem super long when you've got COVID. It's just like, shit me. You get back, it wasn't worth it. But yeah, it's all good now.
You feel better? Sort of 95% matter. Yeah. Yeah.
But you still got the positive today, didn't you? Yes, yeah, weirdly. The positive tests are still lingering. But we'll get over that.
Yeah, that's it. Well, what we normally do when we get John on a podcast, ladies and gentlemen, is we retrofit him into it, basically, and ask him about... ...for our episode. So I was going to just dive into Doctor Strange, mate.
Oh, yeah, yeah. And just ask you your opinions. Obviously, we kind of spoke, but not on turbo. So the listeners obviously want to know, you know, they heard what me and Matt had to say about it.
But what will you give us your overall feeling and then kind of pick out some of the... ...the lovely little bits and pieces in there as well? Yeah, I mean, overall, I didn't really... It was okay.
It was okay. Compared to the other Marvel films and the stuff that we were getting recently, I just don't think it compared. And there were some cool bits, but there were... It's just the corny lines, the weird shots, because did you know there was a...
Could you tell that there was a 3D version? Because occasionally, they would do the stupid, like, shunt forwards, or the weird, like, poke something into the camera. Oh, I kind of thought 3D was dead. I didn't even go through it.
No, he was really spider-man. He was really spider-man. There wasn't any 3D. That was around the Avatar sort of time.
So he missed out on all that shit. So when he got an opportunity, he goes to make a 3D film, he's going to go for it. Yeah, it's a superhero film. I got out of my gimmick of 3D.
Mate, no, you don't. You missed it. And, yeah, it was the weird one-liners that everyone seemed to have. Yeah, one-liners are terrible at names.
Unless, again, you're so best of alone in a 1990-odd film, you know, then you're allowed to do it in an action-eventure film. But these films are kind of weird, shiny things, isn't they? And it's like, a one-liner in that doesn't really hit the same way as a classic old-school shit-actor, you know, body-builder saying it. Yeah, yeah, it's so jarring.
It's like, stick around. Hold on. What? And that is that musical scene.
Yeah, I've talked to a lot of people. I was speaking to a couple of people yesterday about that. And that's the first thing everyone just has to have a little quam about that music scene. I mean, obviously Danny Elfman really wanted to get his shit out there, didn't he?
But for me, it was like that little, I said it on the previous podcast, if you listen, mate. I did. The little note going into the end was good. Yeah.
Because it kind of, you know, thrown a little thing in there and it exploded, you know, messing shit up and everything. Fair enough. But lobbing a load of fucking notes at each other. I just, I don't really get it.
Unless those notes were actual physical notes, they're like kind of just ornaments or something. Yeah. That would have looked, you know, they're ducking it, they're wondering if it was behind a bar, and he's ducking it, you know, like, pro-and-butals at each other. I'd appreciate that, but it weren't, obviously.
No. But, like, with the first one, it was like, okay, cool, that's fine. And then they went up, it's like, oh, there's the book, sheet music, shoot it out. And then they started to trade back and forth.
It's like, there's, like, you were grasping at a setup for the first initial one. How many would you have given them? How many would you have allowed it? Would you allow, like, one, one, an retaliation and that's it, you're done.
That's it. But no, it was like the rest of the scene. Yeah. Yeah.
Could have been just cut a lot shorter than that, couldn't it? Yeah. Did you, did you like, you know, my description of Wong dealing in a life? Like, I think, did you understand what was coming from that?
Yeah. Yeah. Why? We know he's, like, it's obvious, right?
You couldn't have just, you couldn't have just killed Wong. Yeah. Yeah. When I was listening to you say that, where they just kind of, it was nothing.
It was just like, he went flying. It was a super wide shot. They could have shown the body, but they didn't. It was just a really wide shot of him disappearing.
It's like, yeah. He's coming back. Yeah. Exactly.
And then when he's on the floor and he's not bleeding or fucking fucking. He's probably fine. Yeah. I'll just climb this mountain now.
Right, mate. Yeah. How far did he fall as well? That was a fucking extreme wide angle shot.
He fell. I mean, what we saying, mate, 100 foot? Easy. It's on top of a mountain.
He's fallen a long, long away and did not really have much of a scratch on him. Or, you know, fucking internal injuries where he's bleeding from the inside. He did well. He did well.
He passed away, didn't he? He did. Well, there were some cool bits in it. I liked, it was a lot creep.
There were some really creepy bits in it. I loved the, like, I don't even know what they are. The black, the black things. Yeah, the like little demon thing.
Yeah. That was cool. Yeah, they are scary shit, isn't they? Nearly unsettling, but they were cool.
And one of them, when a wander shot and energy thing, they just like gobbled it up. Yeah. Right. I like that.
Yes. Yeah. It's just a weird kind of juxtaposition from the start having the shiny, shiny, American chad, that sort of shit going on. You know, star pools.
You know. To then go into like literally something that would, if that was around you, you would, I think I said before, you would die. You would just literally just die. Your soul would go, not because of the demons around you.
You would just, it would be done. You'd fold. Yeah. I'm confident what you're looking at.
No, exactly. And that is, you know, scary shit. But then from there, so then that's dark as fuck. But then it's like, then he's got a comedy aspect of, and I know, you know, it's evil, dead style shit.
But like, you've got the comedy aspect of him looking like Two-Face from Dark Knight sort of thing. Or, you know, Tom and he Jones is fucking Two-Face or whatever. But it's just, it's not, I didn't get it with his half face and like, throwing a line out. You can't really understand him, but you can.
But it's supposed to be a ha ha, because he can't really speak very well. But it's just, I didn't really get thrown that in. If you go in dark, let's keep it dark rather than chucking a little bit of comedy. I couldn't quite be right at that.
He was performing. The tone did flip-flop just between whatever they like, felt on the day. It seemed. Yeah.
It's almost like it didn't storyboard it or something. It's like they shot it. And then it's like, that's just, what comes up next? We've got to fit this shit in.
We can't put that. We're going to have to put it there. The next scene is back to the same characters and there's no bridge. So we can't put that there.
We have to put it there. We have to put it there. We can put it there then gone. It just felt like there was a lot of that in between little side mission shit that just ruined the flow.
Yeah. And it's just weird bits like why would they do that? Because there's that scene when they're running through the tunnels and a wander is chasing them. They're running, running, running.
And then for no reason they stop. They're like, well, we've got to get away. So, well, keep going then. It's really frustrating that sort of shit, isn't it?
Yeah. Yeah. And like the, when they teleport it to the, the ritual place where one fell off. My first walk, when they got sort of a nice shot away, he distanced and I went, why didn't he just teleport all the way?
And it's the classic, oh, this place stops magic. We couldn't teleport there. So, all right. Yeah.
All right. But then there is magic there. Yeah. You can actually get in there.
You just can't do it up to there. Yeah. Is it a thing to get to it? It's like, oh no, you just cut to them there.
All right. I didn't want throw his lasso. When he hacked, didn't he get cloned off his lasso or something? Yeah.
So you can, so you can use magic there. You can. But conveniently you can teleport up there for no real reason because there isn't like a thing for them to do to get to it. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. It's, what do you, what do you think of the roommate with the old Illuminati in there? It was cool.
And then they did nothing of it. I was like, yes. I think, yeah. I expected too much clearly of the, of the film.
I think everyone did. Yeah. And it's called multiverse madness. And it's what, two multiverse?
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's not really.
It's the one film. Like Spiderman obviously had loads of hype and I was kind of like going, you know, I'm just going to settle down every one. You know, and it was a very good film. You know, it was a really enjoyable film.
I'm second watch. I don't think it's as good as your first, but that's just how it is. Yeah. You know, it's not, you know, it's not like Endgame or Ragnarok, which we fucking said many a time.
But multiverse, I was like, and this is going to be the best one. Because you're going to have Wolverine in it. You're going to have Charles Xavier in it. You know, they could throw anyone in there.
But the method and the way they used them as like just tools for the story was bullshit. It was like, it should have been part of the story. They just weren't even part of the story. You know, it's like, we could have, why did they, they killed them?
Obviously, because you can just throw off them from another universe. But then you're kind of known was there with strange at that point, you could have, that could have been a bond with one of those characters that leads you into a, into another film. Let's just say if Captain Reed Richards stayed, you know, he didn't die. Then that could have been a bond they used to do could have had a bond at some point down the road, which would have helped out the fantastic for.
And now they're going to, they can't really reference it. So it's almost pointless. Yeah. And it's what I don't understand was so in low key, like a lot of the variants were actually different people.
But why in this? I don't know what they're saying. Yeah. I think Matt made that point.
It's like Benedict Cumberbatch is every version of Doctor Strange. And it's like, well, really, you should have just messed up a little bit. That's why they should have had the Tom Cruise Iron Man in there. That's why they should have done it because it was just like, it doesn't need to be an ever, he's a perfect tool to use and not need to use him in the future.
But you should, they're just making a point to say that, you know, the same character can be a different person. They can look different. Yeah. Whereas in the Illuminati room, all of them were just, so they weren't the same, you know, it wasn't Captain America is Captain Carter, you know, it was a different person.
It took them out. So then, you know what I mean? It was never, they didn't just draft someone else as someone did they? Yeah.
And then, you know, it's been played by someone else, but, you know, that's fucking by the by. You know what I mean? That's because, yeah, that's irrelevant. Yeah.
So when they eventually do fantastic for like, is he? Yeah, fuck knows me. Oh, and when they do X-Men, is perhaps you're going to be Charles again? Well, I can't leave it too long, can I?
No. Yeah, that's the thing. Yeah. Well, they should have done that.
They should have had Chris Evans as Johnny Storm. The human torch, because he was human torch in the first Fantastic Four. And then, you know, he's a human, and he's a human, and he's a human. That would have fucking picked with everyone's mind, at least it's more legit, and they're doing it that way.
Because they've almost done it with Xavier, I haven't had him before, at least just picked someone out of obscurity that we know. They could have picked, I'm just trying to think, like, Dolph Longroom, right? He played a Punisher years ago, mate. Oh, OK.
Yeah. So they could have had a Punisher version of him in there. At least there's, you know, it's just a proper Easter egg shit, but I don't know. I know all that's a bit too shiny for me, really.
Yeah. What good is Charles in that fucking boat? I know it's from the comics and whatever, but it's where it goes to the scene of them after fighting Thanos, and he's there in his chair. He's like, what?
Which is your distraction? What did you do there? Yeah, exactly. Also, if he was there, he would have fucked everyone up, couldn't he?
He's that powerful, but they didn't... Just blow up his mind. Done. Yeah.
I did like him in his turtle neck, though, mate. Again, it's set up for a bit like in that little room and just knocking about what it is. It's nice. And what they should have done in that room, he should have been wearing Picard's top, shouldn't he?
He should have said anything. Hey, what's going on here then? It's multi-verse. It's multi-verse.
It's not a matter. That's what he wants. In his mind, he is Captain Picard, and a sardry is actually just a dream state of Xavier. That's...
And an emerging together, you see? Yeah, I like it. That works. And really, when he sees Jordi in his dream state, he's getting a mix around, isn't he?
He's getting a mix around, isn't he? He's got a bit cyclops in there. Get the guy back from him. With a weird visor on.
Yeah. Jordi? Nah, mate. Yeah, and what can be like Colossus' shores?
Beast. Yeah, you go nice, yeah. Exactly. Exactly.
And Mary's up. Yeah, it might be true. We'll have to speak to the creators of Star Trek. Let me just tweet Patrick's shirt.
Or just go down the shops, find them there. Oh, Patrick. Answer me there. Yeah, I mean, they should do it.
They won't do it. It's like when we heard about the old 22 Jump Street and where the fuck it was, where they're going to hook up with Men in Black, there was going to be like a little cross-franchise there. It never happened. But I don't know why people don't do that more often.
It'd be sweet to just throw it, literally. You could have Rocky and fucking Rocky vs Predator, you know? That sort of shit. They're the sort of films you want to see.
We know the stories now. If you're doing gimmick films, you might as well just gimmick them all the way to the fucking hills. Yeah, that would be good. Yeah, just the ridiculous films.
What else can you just blend together like that? I don't know. Like James Bond vs Alien or something like that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
James Bond vs Alien. Yeah. Yeah. Space pussy.
It works. It works. It works. No, seriously, can't.
We got a new James Bond. Yeah. We got a new James Bond. Yeah, it's Daniel Craig still going.
Is he done with it? It's the woman. No, isn't it? I can't remember.
You got a woman James Bond now? Yeah, black woman. Oh. I just do go real quick.
I didn't know there was. I don't keep up with James Bond news mate. I'm completely honest. I'm not the biggest James Bond fan.
Well, at least I thought it was. So what should we call Jamie Bond? Jane Bond. Jane Bond.
Yeah, it's Lassana Lynch. She's in no time to die apparently. Oh, right. No, she's not the next James Bond.
I don't know what's happening. Okay. Well, if you could cast the James Bond for Space pussy mate, who would you go for? What are you looking for when you're James Bond?
Do you want someone? Do you want the old, like a ripped old boy? Yeah. I mean, do you want a posh English bloke to play?
I think I want a posh English bloke. Like, 70s, just completely inappropriate James Bond. Who could do that? You could call him Ferp or something or something.
Yeah, that's too posh for it. No, I think that's just right. Yeah. Yeah, we'll go call him Ferp.
He's old now. Yes, Ferp. He's old James Bond. Yeah, we'll go with Colin.
Colin Ferp. Yeah, he's more, yeah, he's proper like, just quiet and just polite late time. I mean, he was a lady. I don't know if he's a little lady, man, but like people, he's a bit of a...
Well, yeah, he did all those problems. He did all those films and 2000s and whatever. He's perfect for it. I'd give him a Tash as well, just to throw it off.
Yeah. He's given a nice, far-ro sort of Tash going on. He's curled up. So why's James Bond got a...
Well, it's a new era, isn't it? It's in Space, isn't it? Space pussy. It's fine.
And he'd have the goldfish bowl space suit on. Yeah. Yeah. I like it.
Yeah, we send it out to whoever's producing those films these days. One of them is all lucky. Yeah. Someone.
No idea. Fox on it for the alien? Which is Disney now. There you go.
Yeah, all right. That'd work. Exactly. What would you give Strange Mate as a turbo rating if you had to be so bold?
Maybe it too. I can't see myself re-watching it. I think I can re-watch it, but I can stick it. I want it turned into one of those films for me that I can stick on and not really follow it at all and just look at the TV occasionally if I'm making dinner or something.
That's what I'm saying. I don't mind that sort of film, but I'm not going to care about it as much. Whereas if you're sticking on the original Avengers, make it or something, it's like you're sitting down watching that. Yeah, that's a good point.
I mean, yeah, I can throw it on. When it goes on Disney+, I'll throw it on while I'm painting or whatever and just look up occasionally. Yeah, exactly. Background noise, mate.
But I mean, it's still above like Spider-Man 3. Like I wouldn't even put Spider-Man 3 on in the background. I probably wouldn't put Spider-Man 1 or 2. I think they were fucking dog shit.
At the time when they came out, I saw them, the X-Men films, they first came out with them. But they sucked balls. They sucked. They were so bad.
And even the X-Men films, I remember I said before, like a skydive off school for both 1 and 2. Just kind of school that day just there. Just to get a watch of film. And I did really enjoy them.
Looking back at them, I'm not too sure why I did, but I did enjoy it. Because it's all you had. Yeah, I suppose. Yeah, exactly.
Yeah. But yeah, I think too is fair, mate, really. I do need to get your opinion. We're talking about some media, some film shit.
Do we want to talk about everyone? Can everyone be first? Couple of episodes? Yeah, I've seen the first three.
I think I've seen first three. What happened to the end of the third one? Spoiler alert. Everyone just gets away from Darth Vader.
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. He was like... The big burn. Yeah, he got burnt and he got some smoke up.
Yeah, that's it. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. I'll let you talk.
I'll jump in with what I want to talk about. Break it down. I'm really enjoying it. I think it's doing a really good job at showing how fucked up Obi-Wan got from that.
Because you can't imagine everything you knew, your whole being gone destroyed. And the one thing you care about, which is Luke, is you're told that you can't... I don't want any part of you. You're the reason he's here in the first place.
It's like, well, I am and I'm not. Yeah, exactly. I was with you on that one. It's like, it's obviously already, like saying, everything's fucking been ripped apart of it.
And then you get hit with that line by his uncle, whatever the fuck it is. So hold on a second, motherfucker. Let's just not forget, I've been looking over you all these fucking years and everything. So let's not forget about that shit.
Yeah. And that would be a punch of the gut, wouldn't it? It would. After all of that, to be told that.
But I think I'm liking the pace of the show. It's going. There's not been any filler. There's some been questionable chase scenes, but we'll...
We're definitely going to talk about that. We'll talk about that. Well, they like a chase scene, don't know. For some reason they do, but they can't do them.
You feel just like, as an actor, certain people have got certain roles. Like, yeah, I want to flex my guns or I want to have a monologue. You know, this actor, this little fucking bitch, she's gone like, I'm just doing running scenes. Alright, I want running scenes.
I look good running. I just actually jump right into it mate. I look good running so that's what I want. She looks like she's wearing fucking wellies that have got lead in a bottom of my stomach.
She can't run. But apparently she's quick and every fucking universe. Yeah. And a tree bronze that you can obviously see.
Yeah, yeah, which is run away from the goons or whatever. Yeah, it's like going down like a pass some shrubs or whatever it is. Oh, it's just like, it's a tweeze, not me. It's like, it's just, little branches make.
I'm wondering around it. Yeah, go around it. Yeah, it's a toddler running away from you. So go and get her.
And obviously the rooftop and the alleyways and the rooftop running scene as well was quite impressive. Yeah. Which is run away from over one Kenobi. And he's like, she was like three four foot away from him and then cuts to the next shot.
And he's like, a hundred fucking foot away from him. It's like, but she's quick. Yeah, it doesn't quite make it doesn't quite add up. And the old third sister doesn't know, man.
That's it. She's fucking doing parkour over the fucking skyline fucking doing backflips shoots our presses and whatnot. And leads to nothing. She doesn't, she's got like, she falls.
He goes down there. They walk off and then she did always backflips for no reason. Yeah. And he got down there really quickly.
It's just, it's like, oh, I'm glad you were right. Hold on a minute. Yeah. Why don't you go down?
It feels that easy when you get in shot at. Just walk downstairs. But apart from that shit, I agree with you. The pacing is really good.
The first episode in particular. I mean, don't be wrong. Let's not underestimate. I'm not the biggest.
What's his fucking name? Everyone. You're a good guy. I'm not as big as fan, right?
You think he's a bit of a posh-couches. Tosser. But, you know, he is a good actor. But with him, it holds everything.
He keeps it in film. It keeps it in that era. And, you know, the monotony, the storytelling, like, I guarantee you, he is an executive producer and it's obviously another bit of say in terms of the length of shot and everything. They've kept the shot a little bit longer, you know, just to make it more film, like, rather than TV, where you fucking just hit that cut button.
Yeah. You know, and going back and, even the way they filmed it, you know, when he's in that butcher shop. Oh, he cuts his little bit of me. That's the same shot.
Yeah, just spin the camera around for the next couple of days or whatever, you know, but it works because it's trying to tell that monotony story that he has to, this is a sacrifice, isn't it? This is what he has to do now. He has to live like a fucking jabroni and get sold his own ship by one of those little sandbasses. What are they called, mate?
Jawas. Jawas. Yeah. I think Darth Vader is really cool though.
The fact that he, he is so badass, he shows up, he just breaks in random people's necks because he can. Yeah. That was savage. One of them just gestured a little tapped to the side and that person breaks their neck against that wall, it's like fucking hell.
He's taking their prisoners. and Obi-Wan is actually shitting himself. What did you think about Leia sending back the woman who saved her to go and get a faceless senator to the walls? She's just going to get killed.
Go and get him. No, I'm not going to get him back through that tunnel. The reason why we come through this tunnel is because the other side of that tunnel now is seps and shit. So I ain't going back there.
You go back there. Yeah. Wait, how'd it go back there? Yeah, it's about Feila.
You can deal with it. He's a Jedi. If he dies, what good am I? Really?
Yeah, yeah, exactly. Well, it turns out she was a lot of good. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Yeah.
But I did like how Darth Vader just wants to stay like toy with Obi-Wan and make him suffer. Yeah, exactly. He has to suffer. That's the bad as the word spot on me.
And it's a suffering. It's not ending. You don't want to end him. No.
He wants him to fucking go through what he's been through. Because if you know, let's break it down. From his point of view, this boy's chopped all his fucking limbs off and burn him. Yeah, and left him.
He didn't even make sure he did die or finish him off or whatever. He left him. Dick move, right? Dick move.
That mate, you just chopped off his hand and legs. Make sure the job's done. Yeah, I suppose with a lightsaber as well, like a cut. Obviously, you probably won't bleed from it, where we could see it.
I think it equalizes it. Yeah, exactly. Like, Stallone style in Rambo. Yeah, you're sorted.
So that's just going to be sorted straight away. You need someone to put that for your fucking heart or throat or something, didn't you? It really finishes you off. But because we've, did you know we've Darth Vader's suit, it's purposefully outdated materials and doesn't fit him properly.
So he's always in pain and discomfort to sort of boost the dark side more. The only time he's at peace is when he's floating around in his little bath to tank. Right, right. Okay.
Yeah. So when he's in the suit, it's it's hell for him. He can't escape it. So that's little 30 seconds that Obi-Wan was in the fire.
There's nothing for him. Right. Yeah. He can't, he won't be able to suffer enough compared to what Darth Vader is.
Exactly. You know what I mean? So yeah, I did like the use of close-up in it as well, mate. I'm a fucking stickler for it.
Sometimes, you know, if you wanted to show up with a motion, just getting into something, locking in someone's eyes or something, in a scene, they walk into a fucking room. Just, you know what I mean? Do that. They were doing that with Darth Vader's suit, mate.
Like, they were even doing close-up of the shitty, like, you're talking about the outdated material. That leg material is like proper shitty, like 80s shit or 70s stuff. But that's what you want to see. Like, I'm, you know, I'm not the biggest, I was like, I like Darth Vader.
Everyone does. But like, I don't really give a shit about it. But seeing that for you must be like, you know, yeah, it's coming in pants sort of time. It's amazing to see.
It's actually Hayden Christensen in the suit as well. That's good. I thought it was weird that because they got him back for it, but it's not him doing the voice. It's still James Earl Jones.
Yeah, you, mate, you fuck that voice. You fuck that voice up, mate. That's game over. If they wouldn't have got old Earl Jones to go in there and do that, I think there would have been a fucking outrage.
True. I know you're saying, like, if you're playing the character, I want to play the fucking voice as well, I'm not the fucker. That's what I said. If I was him.
But it's so iconic. Yeah, you can't fuck with that. But apparently we're going to get some more like, or people are hoping for more flashbacks and stuff. Like Clone Wars era.
Because have you ever watched any of the Clone Wars? Yeah, I've watched a few episodes of it. Yeah. Because I'm not the biggest fan of that style of animation, but it does feel a lot of fucking holes, doesn't it?
Yeah, definitely. Some of them are a bit ridiculous, but there are a lot, Obi-Wan and Darth Maul. That's a recurring thing. Right.
Because he becomes just Maul. He's over the sift. He hates the emperor, that Maul. But he hates Obi-Wan more.
Because he killed him. Well, he killed him. He more lost everything because of him. What's he saying after he gets cut?
Cut it off and goes down that hole. He ain't dead. No, no, he comes back. Right.
Yeah, he comes back. He gets like robotic legs. And it's always right. Yeah, it's just space so you can limbs and shit.
Just you just run a new limb. Whatever. So he gets robotic legs and he proceeds to sort of just dominate the criminal wonder world. He takes over Mandalore.
So, and he also more kills. Essentially Obi-Wan's girlfriend, even though the Jedi aren't allowed to love him whatever. Obi-Wan has a thing for this girl back in the Clone Wars. And he more kills her in front of Obi-Wan.
Just dead. And then Obi-Wan can't stop him. It's brilliant. It's awesome.
Because have you seen the final fight scene between Maul and, I guess you haven't, between Maul and Obi-Wan? Why in Clone Wars? It's in the Rebels. No, no, no.
It's wicked. So it's after this. It's after the Obi-Wan show. It's like two years before a new hope.
Darth Maul finds Obi-Wan in the desert. And he's like, what are you doing out here, mate? And then he goes to attack. He goes to do the same move he did to Quagai John in the first one.
Yeah. Because Obi-Wan knows it. He just drops him in half. It's like a 30 second fight.
And is he dead? Literally dead. Legitimately dead. Mmm.
Yeah. Yeah. It's the perfect like payoff. Yeah, he needed to win, didn't he?
Yeah. I mean, if he's killed his fucking girlfriend or he's dead. He needs that. Yeah, he needed to fucking, yeah, he needed to kill him.
But with the show, I'm going to be, I want to see Obi-Wan fight more and bring back his proper Jedi moves. But I don't know if we will see that for this. The thing is as well, mate, obviously we wanted to get that fucking lightsaber out and start slashing people up for everything. But you can't be given that straight away because then there's no reward.
You have to go through it to earn it. So you can see the seeing the lightsabers a little. Ooh, like that. You know, it's like even when you're on that fucking, what's your boy?
