94. 5 Lessons I Learned From My Cat Having 17 Teeth Removed

My cat recently had 17 teeth extracted. I know what you’re thinking - WOW, how did you let it get that bad?! Well, I did and I didn’t. Romeo has resorptive disease and we’ve been doing dental cleanings regularly his whole life.This past year, he developed hyperthyroidism and we had to get his thyroid levels back to normal before he could be put under anesthesia for a dental cleaning.Once we got his thyroid levels back to normal, I scheduled his cleaning and we were expecting extractions. I wasn’t expecting 17!!!It was an ordeal and the week following was touch and go.
