Meet Vera Jimenez!!!   Vera Jimenez is an award-winning Meteorologist at KTLA 5 News. She's part of the evening news team Monday through Friday. Among several awards and recognitions, she has won multiple Emmys and Golden Mics.   She also has an online health and wellness business that focuses on her passion for helping people feel their best. She believes that we are at our best when we are mentally and physically healthy.   Vera is a Redondo Beach Rotarian and a board member at the Boy and Girls Club of the LA Harbor. She is also active with multiple non-profits in the area, including the Richstone Family Center.   She received her Meteorologist certification from Mississippi State University, graduated Cum Laude from California State University Long Beach in Religious Studies, and earned her AA from Santa Ana Community College.   She was born in Mexico but raised in Garden Grove, California. Vera is the last of six children, raised by a single mom after her dad died when she was three years old.
