#94: Judges 15 | 300 foxes, 1000 men, and the jawbone of an ass

This is an action-packed episode. Here are the highlights: It begins with Samson bringing a goat to pay for sex with his Philistine wife, only to be told by her father that he had given her to his best man because he thought Samson hated her. Then Samson catches 300 foxes, ties their tails together, lights them on fire, and lets them loose on the Philistines' crops. The Philistines respond by burning Samson's ex-wife and her father. Samson smites the Philistines hip and thigh with a great slaughter. 300 Philistines tie Samson up. The spirit of the Lord comes on Samson and he kills 1000 men with the jawbone of an ass. After the killing, Samson was thirsty, so God made a hole in the ass's jawbone and filled it with water, so Samson could have a drink. All this in a single chapter. (And people say the Bible is boring!)
