94. The Abolition of Man (1943) by C.S. Lewis
from A Deadman's Books
Opening with a critique on two text-book writers, C.S. Lewis ventures into those who are attempting condition society and bend it against what he calls the tao. The Tao that is what is inherently good. Lewis defines it has a moral compass that appears not just in a specific religion, but in every person. The discernment of what is right from wrong. Lewis goes on to list those who are trying to shape society to their will, conditioning those against what is right and wrong, as living outside the Tao. Lewis's Abolition of Man brings a relevant commentary on society still, and it can raise a mirror that may be tough to look at. We're asking the tough questions: Who's truly indoctrinating our youth? Has religious society change their true theology in for a false one that is built on politics? How do we recognize the conditioners? Jason Crockett joins us as we answer those and more. Thanks for listening!Resources for today's episode:Abolition of Man by C.S.
