Ira was a famous, counterculture hippie in the 1960s and 1970s. He was friends with the rich and famous.  Unfortunately he was also a narcissistic asshole. When he met the smart and lovely Holly Maddux, he ruined their relationship by being a total monster. She left him but then disappeared when she went back to get her clothes in 1977.
