95. Tap Into Your Body’s Innate Healing Intelligence by Starting at the Foundation 🦶

from HYDRATE with Tracy Duhs · host Tracy Duhs

Hey Hydrate fam, meet Jeff Shub. Jeff is a former MD. You may know him as The Urban Barefoot. 🦶Jeff now lives nomadically helping individuals and communities expand possibilities by harnessing the innate wisdom and intelligence of our bodies, starting with the foundation…our feet 🦶. I enjoyed my conversation with Jeff because it reminded me how empowered we are when we take the time and listen to the intelligence of our bodies. Our bodies are speaking to us constantly through pain, discomfort, exhaustion etc. When we choose to listen 👂🏻 instead of numb out, profound healing can take place. Today we learn about the foundation of connecting with our bodies alignment by learning more about our feet and the crucial role they play in our health and well-being With several years of experience in building businesses and consulting for some of the most progressive companies in the world, combined with a medical degree and profound passion for the human experience, Jeff navigates these uncertain times in a unique way. The Urban Barefoot began as a case study into the applications of a barefoot mindset in a "normal" city environment. Ideally, we'd all live in the forest and run around with no shoes. That's just not a viable option for most. The project has evolved farther than ever dreamed and taken some magically unexpected turns along the way. What seemed like a physical body message has transformed into a realization that Barefoot Medicine is really about FEELING. It’s about being present with the world, as it is. It is a commitment to experimenting with new ways of interacting with the world to create a “winning happening” dynamic so that we may hope to continue seeing humans exist in harmony with this planet. When Jeff isn’t holding space you can find him moving, meditating or learning about the human experience. His mantra is, “to lead with giving and be open to receiving, and become one with everything and everyone on his journey”.
