When Bob sells his tech company, he immediately goes and commits to cryogenically freezing himself upon his death. The ironic thing is that it comes within that week. When Bob is brought back to life in the future, he soon learns that he is an artificial intelligence program...and things are different. A Christian theocracy has taken control of North American, Europe has become the United States of Europe, Brazil is extremely militaristic, Australia is doing their own thing, and the Middle East has been nuked into a wasteland that no one enters. Bob's directive is to control Heaven-1 to the starts to help find new habitable planets, but he has to beat everyone else there, and on his way out of orbit, he sees Earth flickering in the distance as it is being pounded by nuclear weapons.
