Sacrifice is hard. Taking something of value in the here-and-now, and making an educated trade for something else potentially more valuable in the future is very much a risk. In Scripture, however, we come to understand that our lives are not our own, so then, giving what we "own" becomes much easier. For we realize that everything we have, all the way down to each cell in our body, belongs to Jesus. So when He wants our communication? We give it to Him. When he wants our finances? We give them to Him. And when He wants us to faithfully serve others? We'll do that too.
