#98: The 2015 BTBA Finalists!

For this week's podcast, we invited Best Translated Book Award Fiction Chair Monica Carter on to talk about the finalists for this year's awards. Monica graciously gave us some insight into the voting process, revealed which of the final ten was a "personal pick" of one of the judges, and managed to make us second guess who we thought would win the award.  Additionally, we talked about the differences between the UK vs. U.S. book scenes, and had some rants, raves, and sports talk.  * REMINDER: Next week, Feminist Press editor Julia Berner-Tobin will be our guest to discuss Apocalypse Baby by Virginie Despentes, translated from the French by Siân Reynolds, the latest book in the Three Percent Book Club.
