It's a very low barrier to get into the wrong spot. That's crazy. We're committed to do the daily talk show for 10 years. Hi guys.
Put it in the calendar. I just like to check the temperature in the room. I told you my squeegee story. It is outright.
Come on, let's go. Makes some noise. It's the daily talk show for so 995. Happy Friday, which means Happy Friday.
And today you're doing an air fryer. I think we actually have the guys that don't have microphones, but Jess and George are standing by. They want to try what you've just called. Well, I've never seen two people so keen to not be on the show but to be getting what we're eating on the show.
So this was all inspired by Christian Hull. Great man. Have you seen Christian doing reactions to videos? Like he does ones to paint mixing to see the color.
But he was... I've been on Instagram. I'm not avoiding Christian stuff. That's a TikTok.
Anyway, he also got sent a shitload of these videos of someone getting a whole block of caramel, Cadbury's sort of caramel milk to white chocolate. Yes, it's well. It's a dirt white chocolate. Well, it's caramelly.
But awesome. Anyway, they get the whole block of caramel and they put it on puff pastry and they do this cutting thing and then they wrap it up. It looks like a sausage roll, but it's filled with caramel and then they put it in the air fryer. He did a reaction video to that.
I watched that. That was great. And he loves caramel and then he did it himself. And so I was inspired and I've gone out and I've done it.
Have a look at it. It smells so good. It smells so good. So right now I'm going to cut into it.
I'll do it again before. I'll do it again. Yeah, I'll do it again. It's the end.
Directing the end is the primo bit. I reckon the end is the primo bit. Okay. So it's got quite the crunch to it.
Which in the video they put a caramel sauce over it. You don't need that. Can we also point out that Jess was eating raw pastry? Oh my God.
It's disgusting. Oh, I'm definitely having an end. Okay. Okay.
So Jess is also having an end. I'm happy to have a middle. Okay. Okay.
So here we go. Show the show. This is all going up on Instagram. But oh, the puff pastry is amazing.
Okay. Do you show the camera as well? Here we go. So that's like, so it's just the crunch of it.
Oh, it sounds like a, it looks like an apple pie. It does. So I don't have an end. Oh, sorry.
A middle. Okay. So Jess grab a, grab a middle for Josh. She's not afraid.
Here we go. Go to here we go. Oh, my God. Wow.
Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.
Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.
Oh my God. It tastes like something you'd get in the US. Do you think? Well, like they do a lot of, tastes like a Disneyland product.
What happened? Oh, it's golden. Wow. Oh my God.
Oh, sorry. Oh, come on. So the interesting thing is the chocolate isn't melted. Is it?
Oh, you want to take a half of it? It's weird because it's, yeah, that was 30 minutes in the air fryer, but it's browned. The pastry is browned. It's browned as well.
Maybe it's got so much, you know, stuff in it that it doesn't melt it down. This is amazing. I got a message from Mike Santos Donuts before. He just said, you need to calm the fuck down with your F5 bullshit.
The, I mean, no one's making this unless you're doing content. Who's making this? Who is making this? Jess has to walk behind one of us to get out of here.
She's had a, she's going to walk us. With your head in just having a walk of checking. Oh. That is amazing.
Highly recommend. Thirty minutes in the air fryer. Watch how I cut it up. It's on our insta story.
We'll put it as a real. That is phenomenal. I mean, be warned. You may get burnt from the sugar being so hot.
I mean, you're gone. Did you ever make toffee as a kid? No. I can't believe you need to get around that.
It's just like really, like, it's burnt. It's not burnt. It's sugar that turns into a solid. So you think, like, porridges are annoying to clean out of a bowl.
Imagine toffee from a pan, but then hot water just basically gets rid of it. Yeah. But I used to make it every now and then and put them into, like, little cupcake holders. And then just eat toffee.
It was so silly. I like baking. Yeah. I remember at one voting, like an election, went to a primary school and they had made toffee.
It's sort of a weird, it's one of those weird things for an adult to buy, I think. They just have one of your toffee's, they think. They're childish. But on the childish thing, the, well, I was just saying before, just eating raw pastry.
Oh, dude. I've never seen anything like that. Well, puff pastry, specifically, I think, I mean, this stuff is just frozen thawed, not, like, fresh rolled dough with, you know, the butter contents in it. But she was saying that, like, even pizza dough, she used to go to clogs, which is sort of an establishment in Bendigo.
Yeah. And they would, the kids would make pizzas and it would go into the oven. And she was saying that she would get two bases, because she would eat an entire pizza base, a raw pizza base. It's definitely a quirk that we've just discovered today.
Her nicknames, doughy, doughy. Is there, is there any, um, a weird, no, I'm fine, thanks. Any weird eating habits that you have? Probably.
But like we've asked Jess if she's got quirks. Yeah. She didn't identify. That's the thing about quirk.
You don't know about it. Like, unless your quirk is being, you know, hooked up on a harness and belted while having sex, you probably know that that's a quirk. Yeah, sure. But just eating dough doesn't probably fit in the same category.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I do like getting hung up. Um, uh, so this is thing, Amy, like it's just a podcast ripping into a partner. I've given it to Amy on the swing.
I've given it to Amy a bunch of times because I can't do it now. But think about when you, uh, making Schnitzel and say if you're using veal, whether you're like, or not, you just, if you've ever made Schnitzel, you understand, you could use, um, what's called, um, it's called like, you could do a vegetarian Schnitzel. Okay. Sure.
Eggplant. So you're cramming it. Yes. And your crumb gets all over your fingers.
Yes. So it's like mixed in with egg, it becomes doughy. Yeah. So raw egg stuff is a no go for me.
You were just showing me a real, actually, of a prank where people cover a raw egg with chocolate, give it to a mate. They think it's an egg, an Easter egg, and they eat into a pie. And the sound of it's so spectacular because it's just, uh, like if I gave you, if I gave you a raw egg right now, would you bite into it? No.
Not even for content. I probably would do it for content, wouldn't I? Can you do it? There's an egg in there.
You always do it now. If you've got a rotten egg, don't do it now. It's a bit weird. It's a bit unusual.
Should I? Yeah. It's a lot of things I've got in guys. Some people call lifeline.
Others do shit like this. Standing by. But if you, I hope everyone's going well. And Tommy's just getting, um, the egg.
How's your morning going? Good. Maybe, uh, are you driving right now? You might be going for a walk.
That's, I can actually see that you're smiling. It's really nice. Um, just wanted to say hello. Hope you're all doing well.
It was so 1000. He's in one week from today, which is exciting. Okay. Here we go.
So Tommy has brought back. He's got a bowl for me and he's got a 12 free range eggs. Here we go. He's picked one up for me.
Ready for it. In three. Whoa. Quickly.
Drink that. Drink that. I got that for you. Oh, what is it?
Just drink it. Good content. You're washing it down with vodka. That's what you would do, right?
Is this a full? It's a four point six percent alcoholic beverage. Good content. Does that taste like, um, just sugar water?
Does it taste like that? Yeah, right now. Like a, uh, uh, it tastes like what's it called guys. It's called the, uh, soda, creamy soda.
Really? With some people called creaming soda. You do that with the fucks wrong with you. Creamy soda, yeah.
That, that vodka, that tastes nothing like alcohol. Yeah. Pepsi Macs are doing some weird flavors at the moment. What flavors?
Uh, sorry. Orange. Yeah. And that's been out years ago.
Citrus was through, um, Coca-Cola. Yeah, lemon. Yeah, lemon. Coke, lemon.
Twist. Yeah. Well, um, they've got now creamy soda. Oh, you have seen that.
You're with a little pink lid. Not sure if I'm, I bought it and I had it months ago. And it was, it's too sweet. You're really drinking that.
You've got an option. Can you taste egg in your mouth? Yeah. I, I was so quick to react.
I sort of broke it and only a little bit got into my mouth. Egg in your mouth is a saying. Isn't that egg on your face? Oh, egg on your face.
Egg in your mouth. To have egg on one's face. Mm hmm. Be made to look foolish.
Yeah. First recorded in 1964. The late John Quiardi suggested an origin in the lower class and more rowdy kind of theatrical performance. Mm hmm.
In which an incompetent actor would have been pelted with eggs and forced off the stage. Which is a good one because it's like there's a few from the stage. Break a leg. Yeah.
You know the break a leg one? You don't know what is it? Break a leg. Get cast.
Ah, you need to cast for a broken leg. I thought it was something else. I thought it was to do with, well it's obviously bad luck to say good luck. Is this our reason?
Yeah. Do you believe that though? No. No, not really.
Good luck. Thanks. If you're watching and you enjoy that please hit the like button on YouTube and go check it out on YouTube and make it worthwhile. Yeah.
I was just saying when you're gone episode 1000 this time next week. Yeah. One week away. We're going to go to 1000 minutes, which is 16 hours and 39 minutes and something second.
So we're going to go to 40. So 16 hours and 40 minutes. Do we just blow it slightly out just so that there's no chance? We went under sort of thing that we fucked it.
Yeah. Oh, David Blaine. Maybe David Blaine. Oh, that's yeah.
He's doing the holding balloons and getting taken up and then he's going to dive down. But you're hearing them say, David, hold on there. You're a little bit left. And he didn't.
And he didn't. And he dropped. Yeah. But they kind of did make a fuss about it.
David seemed like a pretty big baby. Like if you told David when he got down. So we're starting at 6am. Yeah.
Going through to just after 10 40. Yeah. And we're going to have a bunch of guests. We're going to live stream the whole thing.
Yeah. Do you think we're going to put out every hour or something the following week or we haven't spoken about that? Well, we should just wait until Monday. Get through the, that could be a good idea because there will be some good chats broken up across the, across the week.
And so we've got the cut, the big cups, which I'm drinking the cruise route right now. They have been fantastic by the way. Bree told me off last night because I got a 1.25 litre bottle of coconut sugar and was filling it up. It's a bit excessive.
There's no, you can't be excessive with water. Exactly. I've got someone coming from Queensland to pick them up. What do you mean?
Well, it just so happened. I mean, I, I told you this the other day that I wrote the other day, I wrote a note in my phone that said email, Maddie. Mm hmm. And it's a matter of yours.
Who's hadn't seen us? Have you seen us? Oh, haven't caught up in years. Stay in touch just like on the instas.
But you know, like as soon as we hang out real good nights, it's just like we clicked. Yeah. Very sort of weird circumstances of how we met. I actually, when I was living in Bondi.
Jules Lan was just teeing up a few chats for me. No, that's nice. People and Maddie owns a production company called Producers, P-R-O-G-I-U-C-E-R-S. But they make TV shows and heaps of branding content stuff.
And I went to meet up with his business partner and got to like 11 a.m. He wasn't there. We'd fucked the times and just all of it, went a bit pear-shaped. Anyway, we were going to reschedule.
But then I landed a gig creating this video for a company out there. Which one was it? It was for Bastion. Mm hmm.
And the video was for Swiss. And it was like an internal video for the conference. And it needed an actor in it. And Maddie was the actor in it.
And Maddie's business partner was the guy I was having a coffee with. So I never ended up catching up with the business partner. It became Maddie's with Matt. So you were filming Matt?
We were filming Matt. And we made the case. Oh my God. This is cool.
And then we became buddies and catch up for beers and stuff. Anyway, I put that into my phone. Because I was like, I got to speak to you. You put it into your phone.
It's 6.33 p.m. I put it into my phone. Email Maddie. And that was for, I was going to do it the next day.
Yeah. I woke up and saw a message from Maddie. And he's like, dude. I mean Melbourne.
Please, we'll have some ADWIC. I'm like, oh, I was like, oh, mine Bl institution. He lives in Queensland, doesn't he? He's in Queensland.
The fact that he's here on the 1,000 in Melbourne. So he's got things on but he's going to come past the studio. We'll do a hand off of cups and he'll take them back up to the gold. And so Jess is doing the same.
So we've got two people taking cups back to Queensland. Which is awesome. Yeah. And so what are the plans?
What else do you want to do in the episode 1,000? Well we do have a hand off of the cups from Jess logos in Queensland. So she'll be handing them two grapes. Nathan, I think.
That's something good. I hope nothing we just signed to the airport saying, oh, it's my cups. That'd be great. Something on that.
Big cup company. That'd be great. And so, but Grunks will be able to, during the show, buy their own cup through a donation of their choice. Yes.
If it's anything less than $3, we're losing money. So just think about it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But we do appreciate it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was shamelessly, it's like us. And so what we'll do, we're setting up a, what would you call it? Like a, yeah.
Well, I think it's a little police system, which now that I think about it, studio floor, we have a window that opens and goes straight down to the entrance. And there's definitely a little police system from the window, straight down, and I will lower down a little basket, and you put your money into the basket, whatever it be, and then you take the cup, and we pull it back up. And so, yeah, just be hit the doorbell, and then we're coming over. So it's good because we will be interrupted.
We might have Jules Lund here, and all of a sudden, we've got some Grunk wanting a cup, and I appreciate being interrupted by Grunk. And so then we'll be able to take their money and then pull it down a cup, yeah. Oh, so you don't trust? Because I was thinking down in the basket is the cup, they take the cup, they put the money and I pull up.
But I see that there could be a double handling, if we say, put the cash in, pull the cash up. Yeah, and then we can work out the specifics. I always do that if I didn't trust the individual. Yeah, and we trust everyone.
So we don't have to worry about that. And so it's 6am till 10.45. If you've got any ideas on what we should do. Well, we've got Fridays to do that day too, and there's definitely a beverage later in the night, as it's, you know, the thing is like, how many coffees do you have?
If we're doing a 16-hour show, it's almost like you just throw everything at it, if you want an hour. If you want a 40 coffee, it's 40 coffees. I mean, we always spoke about having a barista at the office. I mean, I've got my Nespresso machine, which is not bad.
My brother gave me. Oh yeah. But I mean, it would be great having a coffee van downstairs. Set up, it's silly.
I mean, yeah, I mean, when we spoke about, I think it was the Christmas in July, we were talking about having catering. Do you remember that? That was just as COVID was really, it were in the thick of it, came back to the office, ended up doing Christmas in July from our houses. Everything was shut down.
We could go and paulks, yeah. And so there's a lot of food options, but I think there's a, yeah, if people want to give us anything. Like even accepting, so like the money thing, I know it's just token amounts. We've already spent the money on the cups.
But if you wanted to give us something of value that isn't money, could be something like a little bit coin. We're taking Bitcoin. No, it could be something else. It could be like a beer or a power rate to keep us going, or a Schweppes.
Well, one of the things, so we did episodes 24-hour stream. And one of the things that we never really nailed the live stream was I always wanted to cut to different places. Do you remember that? Like, I want it to be able to be like, here it is live somewhere right now.
Yeah. I want to do that this time. I really want to nail that down. So what I'm trying to work out is, there's definitely tech that I can use that can get people that I know are in different locations to dial in and have that shot.
And we can say, look, look at how beautiful it is in San Francisco right now. Yeah, yeah. Could we pull in live feed from a live feed cam site? Well, yeah, there's earth cam.
Like when I was a kid, I used to go on earth cam all the time. Or things like, yeah, there's time square and stuff. But I like that there's something nicer about the idea of this copyright issues that there's something nice about having our own, but also random, you know, potentially random live stream. Like, yeah, if you have a view and want to sort of donate some data.
Yeah, that's a lot costy and some time. But then we can bring it in. One of the, one of my favorite things to do when the pandemic was on, I mean, when it was fully firing, the lockdowns, I mean, was to look at the live cam websites. Have a favorite.
That was funny. Just supporting the industry. Not cam girls, live cam. Like at the zoo.
Yeah, yeah, but it was more looking at like Rome, looking in the main square. I love my Italian, Italian live stream. And then I love them. Times Square was full on like New York City.
That was quiet. Yeah, just looking ghost town. Yeah, same with my London and stuff. But then seeing the London, I feel like the Christmas was crazy.
Like there was heaps of people and stuff. Like what are people doing? It's a bit hectic. What about supporting people through?
So I'm really curious. If you're listening right now, when you are in quarantine and you will be in quarantine for the next week, at least. Or France, if you're in France or Charlotte, it should be. So yeah, either that will come.
I'm curious as people who are listening who are stuck at home. Maybe we could do something fun. It's snowed in. Well, it's getting actually.
Is it snowing in? Yeah, I don't know. Slowly. It's throwing.
Yeah, dude. How are you feeling after that? I don't really feel it. I don't really feel it.
I think. I probably wouldn't. I feel it a little bit in my body. But you could probably drink seven days.
Well, because I was drinking later in life, I am very conservative when it comes to drinking and then going in a car. I just don't know. Like it's a general. Like I don't.
I think driving driving. Of course. How many cruisers can I have? This is how many standard drinks is this?
This is one. You could have two of these in the first hour. Yeah. And then you'd probably want to wait an hour before you have another one.
And you could have one every hour. How about blowing over point five by drinking those? That's embarrassing. How many cruisers did you drink?
Fucking hell. You don't want. I mean, if you're planning, I mean, I always just go one. You don't want to have more than one in your system, just in case.
But I told you I went through a booze bus when I was 18 or 19 and I drank six beers across the day. I shouldn't be you. I shouldn't have driven because I wasn't. I'd eaten huge meals and was like five or six hours of time that had went and was probably a couple hours after I'd finished drinking.
What are you doing? Stripping. Okay, sure. Are you worried about blood?
I think I was actually just driving that night. Why would I drink? Stupid decision. But I wasn't drunk.
I didn't feel drunk because it was like, by the end of the day, it was a bunch of hours. And I'd made a gap of two hours before I stopped. They're like, well, I stopped and then had dinner. Blue nothing.
Really? I was fit, blue zero. I went through a booze bus, blew into it. Fucking shat myself.
I'm like, fuck. There's going to be something in there. Would you want to pay a player at the time? Pay a player at the time.
Pay a player at the time. So zero. And she took my license. Looked at me.
And then walked off. You blow into it. Walked off. Came back.
Is that P played a thing? No. It gave my license back to me. And lent over and said, get a new pay plate.
It's faded. Really? I worry. I didn't blow anything.
Zero. Which, don't do that, guys. Do not fucking do that. That's so funny because it's so fucking stupid.
But this is how young people die in cars because young people do stupid shit. Bit silly. All people do stupid shit. But there's more propensity for stupidness from young people.
The world propensity. Propensity. Propensity. Anyway, I hope you have a great weekend, guys.
I was just thinking young people do stupid shit, but a 30-year-old just might be between eight eggs. We're a good content. Yeah, people probably stopped at that point, but we gave them the caramel content. So that was all great.
Well, like it if you did on YouTube. Enjoy your weekend and we'll see you on Monday, guys. Have a good one. See you, guys.
