-The Athletic’s Scott Dochterman offered up a 10-point plan to fix the college football calendar: 1) Move Spring Football to June (alleviates pressure on athletes to enter portal in December and find homes before January semester) -2) Open the transfer portal in mid-January for 19 days and then again the 2nd and 3rd weeks of April-Also: mini camps in March/April; Spring football becomes 12 June practices; Early Signing Period moves to Aug. 1 through 2nd Monday in October; June camps/visits; Regular season moved up on week so conference championships occur over Thanksgiving weekend; another round of home games in CFP; New Year’s Day Bowl Festival; and tier the other bowl games.
