A baby board picture book

Today I saw an image of a baby board picture book. This has made me reflect on the fact that whilst it is wonderful to introduce infants to books and writing, as they get older they do need to progress to more advanced reading matter. Similarly, we need to progress from the wonders of receiving Jesus as our Lord and Saviour to a maturing relationship with Him. We read along these lines in Hebrews 5:13-14 "Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness but solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil". We gain wisdom and an understanding of pure love by spending time with our Lord.
