Elaine serves as the Bahaacute;'iacute; member of the University of Victoria's Multifaith Services team of chaplains. Her spiritual journey began as a devoted Christian, expanded as a devotee of Raj Yoga, and found the Baha'i Faith 25 years ago. After serving at the Baha'i World Centre in Haifa, Israel she returned to Canada where she continues to write and teach advanced life skills for global citizens. The book explores the value of human social life ndash; why we need human connections. Drawing on her experience as a social scientist and on insights derived from a deep study of the Bahaacute;'iacute; Sacred Writings, Elaine offers a fresh perspective on human affairs, revealing new hope and opportunities for action. Her analysis expands our conception of the nature and range of human relationships, stresses the link between spiritual activities and social transformation.
