A Battle Over the Foxton Cenotaph in Foxton Township, NZ

from Get the news · host International Connection Media

International Connection Radio was invited to listen to concerns from a group of supporters and guardianship of the Foxton Township Cenotaph, in Foxton, New Zealand. Robert Ketu says of the decision by the Horowhenua District Council to shift the historical monument 10 metres without consulting the Foxton community is wrong. Supporters say the monument has been on its current location since 1920, it's not only a place to connect with ancestors but to honor the sacrifice made by New Zealanders who died for the country. Have a listen to what Robert and Kathy Huff had to say about what's happening. The group also has an online petition to sign. We'll keep you posted on what happens next listen in www.icradio.online
