I'm so bored. I wish I had something to do. Thanks for letting me sleep in, kids. If you make a mess in the kitchen, please let me know so I can clean it up.
Raising kids is so easy. I just love driving around all day. I'll never have to repeat myself. They always listen so carefully.
Oh, look! An empty box of cereal! Love it! Just wipe it out of your sleeve.
It's pretty cold, but you don't need a coat. Oh, you don't have to push in your chair. Don't make your bed. You're just gonna sleep in it again later.
I think I'll skip the coffee today. You know, these door pillows look way better on the floor. I'm really not that busy. Well, you haven't showered in three days, but I think you smell great.
We do have food at home, but let's just go out to eat. Just brush your teeth whenever you feel like it. Here, take my phone charger and go put it in your room. I'll just leave your dirty dishes on the counter.
In Jesus' name we pray, amen. Alright, let's all pull on our phones. Youth sports are so cheap. Braces are so cheap.
School fees are so cheap. Hey, can you can call in bed with me around 2 AM? Thanks. Okay, I just spent two hours making dinner, but if you don't like it, that's fine.
Just let me know and I'll make you something else. Don't even bother looking for that. I'm sure it's lost and gone forever. Can somebody please throw something at my head?
I mean, I can keep track of every single one of your things. I get a ton of sleep. I get a ton of gratitude for my children. I get a ton of unsolicited help at the housework.
Oh, you don't have to hurry up. We're going to be right on time. Can someone please throw something at the TV? Thanks for doing the laundry, everyone.
I'm sorry, I can't hear you. Can you use your outside voice? No, wait, wait, wait! The floor of this vehicle is so clean, I can't believe it.
Oh, God. Another trip to the grocery store today. Let's go. I'm going to hop in the shower.
Does somebody want to come use the bathroom while I'm in here? Okay, so, two things, mothers. First of all, happy Mother's Day. You are to be applauded.
We praise God for you, yes? Yeah. And then these are like really fun tomato knives. Like so we've tried them out at home.
They're fantastic. Hope you enjoy them. Also in there, I found like the last six bags of these. Has anybody ever had Tony's chocolate before?
It's unbelievable. It's unbelievable. I don't know how they do it. So, be blessed.
So kids and men, that chocolate is not for you. Ladies, keep it yourself. I give you a message. Okay, opening your Bibles if you would to Proverbs 31.
All right. Proverbs 31. So I got a little Mother's Day message for you guys today. You all have a handout and a pen, I hope at this point.
If you don't, they're in the back. We want to make sure everybody can follow along well. Proverbs 31, who knows what chapter this is? Someone tell me.
What is the Proverbs 31 chapter? It's the idea of a real godly woman, right? Okay. Now, just out of curiosity, let me see, ladies, have you ever thought that this Proverbs 31 is like this impossible list for you to keep?
Anybody? Only two of you. The rest of you are perfect saints. Okay.
No, I believe if you've read it and you've seen it, you've seen this list of incredible attributes in Proverbs 31. You look at this list and you think yourself, this is literally an impossible checklist. I don't know if I could live this out. Does that mean I'm a failure?
Does that mean I'm not a Christian? Does that mean I'm not a good wife or a good mom? And the answer is absolutely not. Okay.
The idea of Proverbs 31 is not a perfect impossible checklist. It's this idea that God's given us direction on what a godly woman looks like. And so for all the mothers and non-mothers, this is a passage specifically for a godly woman. Now, does that mean all of us men can check out and say, oh, okay, this doesn't apply to us?
Absolutely not. There's so much to glean from this to understand, first of all, the ladies in our life and to praise God for that and what we're called to do. But also so much in here is about godly living. And so I hope as we read today the text, what it is.
So again, this passage we're about to read, it's not an impossible checklist. It's a life shape by the fear of the Lord. So fill this first one in on your handout, right at the top. The passage, it's not about perfection.
It's about a life submitted to the Lord. Somebody say submitted. All right. Submitted to the Lord.
And we know that this means the idea of that when you submit something, you say like, you know what? I'm going to completely give myself. I'm going to completely surrender myself. I'm going to completely put myself in that other category of other than self.
And so you're not looking to build up yourself. You're looking to say like I'm submitted to the Lord. And this is good. Kirk, welcome back from Sweden, man.
It's good to see you. Kirk just got back from Sweden. You just got off the plane 10 minutes ago and you came right here. That's great.
And then Bruce Webster's here from Arizona. This is what a, wow, great. And I don't see either of your wives on Mother's Day, but oh, now they're going to sit next to each other and they're going to go in their misery. Okay.
Great to see you. Okay. So again, it's about a life submitted to the Lord. It's a life shaped by the fear of the Lord.
And so we fill this in on your handout number one. I'm going to do five, four, five things here about this passage. And we're going to kind of go through Proverbs 31 verses 25 to 31. And the first one says this that the source of strength and dignity is God.
It's God. God is the source of all strength and all dignity. Okay. Let's take a look at our passage in Proverbs 31.
You guys all open there. We're going to read in verse 25, just verse 25 and it starts by saying this that strength and dignity are her clothing. And she laughs at the time to come or the future, right? She laughs at the time to come future already.
How many women are thinking? Oh boy. This is a, this is a tough one for me. Okay.
And yet the strength of the source, the source of the strength and dignity is what? What are we just filling? It's God. God is the strength of the source of the strength and dignity.
And it says in the scriptures here that the strength and the dignity are clothing. Now, in the ancient times, the Hebrew meaning of clothing in this points to what defines their identity. Just as you would, I'm sure many mothers today picked a very special outfit, right? Was it fun?
Any moms, is it fun? They're like, hey, I'm going to wear this on Mother's Day. Yes? No?
Not one of you. Maybe you don't want to admit it. But I'll bet you there's someone in this room that said, like, I want to wear this from Mother's Day. It'll be special.
Like you put something on and it kind of says like, this is what I want to present today. And it's fun to get dressed up for Easter for whatever. And you have that sense of like this, but putting on strength and dignity as your clothing, as a disciple of Jesus and saying like, you know what? I don't have any strength or dignity on my own.
But with the Lord, I clothed myself with it. I actually put it on. And it's the source from God that I put on strength and dignity. Does that make sense?
Right? We like yesterday, we joined, I went to see Nate Barghazi in Los Angeles. He was hilarious. I don't know if you've never seen him.
He is hilarious. And we were walking in wearing LA and we thought it was hot when we went left. But one of the two of us, I won't say which one, didn't go with a jacket. All right?
They didn't go with a jacket. So I had my jacket, but I'm like, hey, of course, I'm going to give my jacket to my wife, right? And she covered herself up and she was set for the night, right? And I went without the jacket.
And that's OK, because when you clog yourself that you're surrounded by it. There's like, you guys know when you put on a good jacket and it's cold, it's nice, isn't it? You know when you settle into that, it's nice. Let strength and dignity be clothed on you by the source from God.
So we'll fill in a few of these under number one. OK, here we go. There's three points under number one. First, strength isn't self-produced.
It flows from faith. Yes? Everyone catching this? Strength isn't self-produced.
You don't say, like, I've got to be stronger. It flows from faith. It flows from trusting God. It reflects a life rooted in God's covenant faithfulness.
So when you're walking with the Lord, when you are walking in the covenant of God, you say, like, hey, God's been faithful to me and he's called me his own. And I'm a disciple of Jesus of the risen Christ. I belong to him. Like, I've been marked with it with a seal by the Holy Spirit.
And I belong to the Lord. When you do that, you understand that it flows from faith. You're rooted in covenant faithfulness. Amen?
The second feeling there under number one is we don't need tomorrow figured out to face it with peace. Isn't that good, right? You don't have to figure out tomorrow to face it with peace. Because the peace comes from where?
What's the source? Somebody? It's God. Yeah.
God is the source. So we can face tomorrow with peace even when we don't have tomorrow figured out. Let me see your show of hands, men and women. When you don't have tomorrow figured out, that's just the word to put in there.
It could be when you don't have life figured out, when you don't have your finances figured out, when you don't have your job figured out, when you don't have your relationships, when you don't have that stuff figured out, how many of you find that sometimes it's really hard to find peace, right? It is, isn't it? It's hard to find peace. But again, that's just going off our own.
If you want to look for your own peace, I would just say to you good luck. But if you want to find peace from God, it's available, isn't it? Because you're looking at a situation where it's total chaos and you're like, ah, I don't know how this is going to turn out. But you know the one who holds the whole universe in his hands.
And he's pretty good, isn't he? He's pretty faithful, isn't he? He's pretty true and righteous and holy and almighty. And there's nothing that can get past him, right?
Let me be, you know he's omnipotent. Let me be, you know he's omniscient. I mean, he's omnipresent. He's everywhere, all ones.
There's nothing he can't do. He's all powerful. Like he's God, right? And so when you have that source, you can say like, oh man, I don't know how we're going to pay these bills.
But my father in heaven owns the Cattle on a Thousand Hills. He's probably got it covered. Yes? I don't know where my next meal is coming.
Oh, but God takes care of the sparrow and the blades of grass in the field. I should be OK. Yes? So he faces with peace.
It's not about you. Your source isn't you. Praise God. Yeah.
The source is the Lord. The last feeling of number one, we don't fear because we know who holds the future. That's why we don't fear because we know who holds the future. The end has already been written.
Look at Matthew 634 on the screen, if you would. It says Jesus said it himself. But would you guys read it out loud with me? Read this verse.
Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Jesus is like, you know, I think the message is something like don't worry about tomorrow. It's going to worry about itself.
Tomorrow will worry about itself. I love that in the message. It says that it's so good. Like, yes, tomorrow is going to have enough trouble of its own.
You just trust the Lord. You keep your eyes on him. Sufficient today is the grace God will give you number two on your handout. Fill this in wisdom builds a wholesome life.
Vecture Bibles, if you have them open, we're going to read verse 26 now in Proverbs 31 and verse 26 says this again, speaking of a godly woman, she opens her mouth with what with wisdom and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. Wow. So fill this in on your handout. Our speech is shaped by God's word.
So ladies, this is for you. This is for a godly woman. This is for godly wisdom coming through you that your speech will be shaped by God's word. So guess what you need to be in on a regular basis.
Yeah. Yeah. Men, does that apply to us too? Or are we exempt because this passage is about women?
No. We're all in. Yes, Church. We're all in on this stuff.
I mean, man, do you want your speech shaped by God's word? Would you love that? And I don't know. Nobody has to raise their hand or whatever because I think we all feel pretty stupid sometimes with this stuff.
But like, do you ever feel like sometimes your words aren't shaped by God's word? Or you just talk a lot of just babble and you talk a lot of nonsense and like you realize, I shouldn't have said that. Oh, man, that didn't have a lot of depth. That didn't have a lot of substance.
That kind of looks like I haven't been sitting with Jesus lately. And yet if you spend time in God's presence, if the word of God is shaping your life, if God's word is just flowing out of you, you're going to notice a real change. So your speech is shaped by God's word. The second feeling of number two says that kindness reflects covenant love.
Kindness is tricky these days, isn't it? Like you would all, if I said, hey, who's kind in this room? Would you say yes about yourself? Would you say you're a kind person?
You might. You probably would. I think I know all of you. I think you're all pretty kind.
But really, if you have the kindness of God, it's another level, isn't it? It reflects covenants love. If you are really in God's presence again, it reflects the covenant love. So how do you be kind to your children?
How do you be kind to your husbands? Men, how do you be kind to your wives? Men, how do you be good fathers? It reflects covenants love when you're kind.
So you got it again, spend time in his presence on that. Not just intelligence, not just a knowledge of God's word, but a muscle that's built up in God who's living. And if you guys are hitting the gym these days or working out, anybody? Zero people in a kind of workout?
Okay. If you're working out, what's the idea of building a muscle? Who can tell me? Okay, so let's say you haven't worked out in a long time and you lift super hard that day.
What are your muscles going to be? They're going to be bad sore. And does anyone know the technical thing that happens to your muscles? If you haven't worked out for a long time and you worked real hard, does anyone know?
Eric, can you help us out? What is it? The lactic acid. I have the lactic acid.
I have the lactic acid. Hey, I'm in. Anyway, I kind of know all your mumbo people. But I'll tell you this.
The idea, when you work out, yeah, they'll break down. Your muscles will fully break down. When you feel that soreness, your muscles have been ripped. They've been stretched.
They've been pulled on every possible level. And this is how you get bigger muscles. Because they build back up together. You're building a muscle.
So the next time you go to work out, it will be a little stronger. And the next time stronger. And if you're consistent with it, your muscles are going to grow. And it's obviously people.
Am I right? Thank you. You're welcome. The idea though, people, is that it's a muscle that's built up by Godly living.
If you want kindness, it's not, you don't just sit there and say, I've got to be more kind. I have to be more kind. How do I do this? Kids, I'm going to be trying you today.
Good luck. It doesn't work that way. But man, if you're practicing your muscles every day and you're saying, you know what? God, I've been in your presence.
You've been kind of me. I'm going to be kind today. I'm going to be kind as I make breakfast today. I'm going to be kind as I go to work today.
I'm going to be kind in the car. There's a sense that you're muscle building. And it might be sometimes where you feel like, gosh, that wasn't a good car ride. That wasn't a good breakfast.
And you find yourself saying, I'm sore. Yes? What is God doing? What is the Holy Spirit doing?
He's rebuilding you. He's rebuilding the muscles. And you're continuing to build those muscles for kindness. And then the third feeling under number two says that words will shape your home.
This is, I love this point, I think more than anything on the whole paper. Words are going to shape your home. Check out this verse on the screen. If you just 429 says, then we should let, this is for everybody.
Come on church. Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths. But only such as is good for building up as fits the occasion that it may give grace to those who hear. So there's a sense there that words are going to shape our home.
And it's all the regular moments that happen in our life. It's the car rides. It's the meals. It's sitting on the couch.
It's when people come into your home. It's when the kids arrive home from school, whatever it is, words are going to shape your home. Words of grace and truth are a priority. And what's the goal?
The goal of number two, you're filling out number two there. It's wisdom build a wholesome life. Your whole. You've got the whole package.
God doesn't want you like just good in a few areas of the spiritual life. He wants you whole. Makes sense? And so we're aiming for that.
We do it by words shaping the home. All right. Our third feeling on your handout number three is a beautiful life will give a rejection of idleness that builds a strong home. A rejection.
Has anybody ever been rejected? Somebody who's seen that big red stamp and says, decline. Right? Rejected.
Right? It's like this ultimate like, you are out. You don't have a chance. You don't have a connection of idleness.
Think about this. You are insisting that I am not going to be idle. And if you read the whole passage of Proverbs 31, you're going to see this throughout it. It's about this Godly woman that just says, you know what?
I'm not going to sit around and be a couch potato. I've got a mission from the Lord to be a godly wife, a godly mother, a godly woman. And I'm going to press into this. I'm going to reject idleness.
I'm going to wake up before the sun rises. I'm going to keep making my kids sweaters and gloves. And like it said, read Proverbs 31. It's awesome.
Man, this godly woman has made this conscious decision to say, I'm going to provide for my family. And I'm going to nurture my family. And I'm going to care for my family. And it's a rejection of idleness that builds a strong home.
We give verse 27 in our scripture here today. Verse 27 in chapter 31 says, she looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Oh, it's so good. Doesn't eat the bread of idleness.
So fill these three things in under number three. Number one is we care for our home and the people in it. Amen, right? So you see the people in your home, no matter how much they drive you nuts, just like this, Proverbs 31 woman, you care for the people in your home.
The second villain is diligence honors the Lord. Not perfection. I'm going to emphasize this enough. Some of you are going to walk away.
I'm nervous that some of you are going to walk away thinking, oh, this Proverbs 31 woman, I've tried it my whole life. It's so hard. It's so difficult. Perfection isn't the goal.
It's direction. It's this idea that when we have diligence, it honors the Lord. Sure you screwed up yesterday. Sure you screwed up today.
But diligence says, God, I'm in this. My heart is yours. I'm committed to you. It's not perfection, but it's responsibility.
It's saying I do have a marriage to care for. I do have a family to care for. I do have a mother to care for. I have friends to care for.
I have people in my life that I should be caring for. It's responsibility in every calling. Not just moms in every calling of your life. It's a responsibility.
Diligence honors the Lord. The last feeling in number three is everyday stewardship is faithfulness. So when you have everyday stewardship, it's faithfulness. You are faithful to the Lord just by saying, God, everything you've given me, I'm going to make sure I take care of it and it's yours.
Look at what Luke 1610 says right on the screen. It says, one who is faithful and very little is also faithful in much and one who is dishonest and very little is also dishonest and much. That's from Jesus himself saying, hey, just be faithful with the little things and God's going to give you more. Remember the parable of the talents.
You be faithful and say, look, Lord, I invested what you gave me. And the word says well done good and faithful servant because you've been faithful. I'll give you even more, more benefits, more profit, more everything. God's going to bless you.
He's going to take care of you. That's not just prosperity gospel. It's the idea of like the word will trust you. The word sees that you're faithful with a little and he'll give you much.
God uses everything. Nothing is wasted. Okay. And the fourth point on a beautiful life is that a godly life leaves a legacy.
The godly life leaves a legacy. Okay. Let's read two more verses here in our passage in Proverbs 31, in verse 28 and 29 it says this. I love this.
Her children, God is a woman. Her children rise up and call her blessed. Her husband also. And he praises her.
Many women have done excellently but you surpass them all. A godly life leaves a legacy. I mean, as I read this, I think there's probably so many women and men for that matter that would read a verse like this and say, I don't think my children rise up and call me blessed. Or I don't think my husband or wife, for us men, praise me for being who I am.
Sometimes I feel alone or discouraged or like I struck out like I'm like, man, and you might feel that way. But again, this isn't, this passage isn't about perfection. It's about direction. It's showing you what a godly life can do.
So when you do stick it out and be faithful and trust the word with his promises, there's a covenant love and God's going to see you through. And the promises will be there whether they come now or way later in life or even in the next lifetime, the promises are true and it leaves a legacy. So to say number four, character produces impact. Not the other way around.
I think so many times we're trying to do impact to produce character. But character is what produces the impact. So it's from being, not doing. It's not from us saying like, oh, if I'm the perfect mom, if I'm the perfect dad, if I check all the boxes, if I have a big brag list on Instagram, maybe everyone will notice what a great mother I am.
It's like, no, the idea of what this passage is saying is that character is going to produce the impact. The fruit is the recognition of God's work in this lady's life that they speak of. It's just a recognition of God's work in her life. Second feeling in number four, his blessing comes through reflecting God's grace.
Again this image here that it comes through reflecting God's grace. It's not about us. It's about reflecting what God has done. Faithfulness bears fruit over time.
We start to see that. And our final one in number four is treasures are better in eternity. Treasures are better in eternity. It's better than what you think you might get now.
Eternity, you're going to have a mansion on streets of gold. I mean, the Lord has you in mind, church. And so eternity is our key. Look at these verses on the screen, Matthew 6, 19 through 21.
And the Lord Jesus said, do not lay up for yourselves treasures here on earth. Where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in steel, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven. Where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in in steel. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
What's your treasure church before I move on to the next point? What is your treasure in your life? Like if it's not the Lord, I'm letting you know, if your treasure isn't the Lord as a top priority number one, you're going to struggle. Even if it's if your treasure is your marriage or your kids or your job or your friends, can those things let you down?
Somebody answer me, right? But put your hope in the Lord. Trust in the Lord. Lean on Him with all your might.
Trust in Lord with all your heart. Don't lean on your own understanding. Don't know your way. Is acknowledge Him and He'll make your past right.
He'll take care of you. Praise God. So, where are we here? Number five.
Feeling number five now, life's foundation is this and read it in Capitol letters church. It's the fear of the Lord. That's life's foundation. And that's what Proverbs 31 is all about.
That's what our last two verses are about. That's what the entire book of Proverbs is all about. It's about the fear of the Lord. So let's read these verses and then we'll talk about what the fear of the Lord even is.
Okay? Verse 30 and 31, to close it out, it says, charm is deceitful and beauty is vain. But a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands and let her works, praise her in the gates.
So what is the fear of the Lord? Does this ever confuse anyone? When you hear this, like am I supposed to be scared of God? Is that like the literal definition?
Is that what it's about? Right underneath number five, I put a good definition here. It is, fill this in reverent trust, awe and obedience. That's what fear of the Lord is.
It's reverent trust, awe and obedience. You want to unwind those three words on your hand out? Trust, awe and obedience. So when you fear the Lord, you have this reverence about you.
It's not just your bro. It's not just your friend. It's not just your pal, your chum. It's this idea that you come in and you're like, this is the Lord God Almighty.
And I have reverence for that. And in the fear of the Lord, when you say anything dealing with God, with his word, with his statues, with his commands, with his laws, and to be obedient to these things, any of these things that come your way, you say, whoa, you're God. And there is a sense of awe. I need to cover my face.
I need to bow before you. I need to lift hands to you. I need to cry out to you. I need to humble myself.
I need to submit to you. Trust. That's the fear of the Lord. And the three words you underline there being reverent, it's trust.
It's awe and it's obedience. Trust. Meaning like, yeah, you're always better God. Period.
Absolutely. I trust you. I don't see it, but you do. I'll take your word every time God.
You said it. I believe it. Okay. It was really hard to believe sometimes, but you said it.
I'm going to put my life on that. That's trust. And then awe, being awe of God. Are you in awe when you worship?
Right? I mean, we were just worshiping the Lord and I was like, man, we're getting a chance to go to the throne room of God and praise him. Are you in awe of that? Are you in awe of his wonders and his creation?
And then lastly, obedience. Having a fear of the Lord is like, I don't, maybe you feel like you don't want to be obedient in a certain situation, but you say, you know what? I fear the Lord. I'll be obedient anyway.
You ever been there church? Yeah. Or it's tough to obey sometimes, but you say, well, it's God's way. I already said I'm in awe and I trust him and I'm going to be obedient.
The second feeling in a number five is a beautiful life is rooted in God. Pretty obvious there. If you want that beautiful life, it's rooted in God. The outward qualities are temporary as that those last two verses just said, but a God centered life is going to endure forever.
It's rooted in him. The final feeling in number five is it is the beginning of wisdom. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Look at Proverbs 910 says, right on the screen, the fear of the Lord is what?
The beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. So we start and we end with the fear of the Lord. It's the beginning of wisdom. It's everything.
That is what it's about. That's what your life's about. And ladies, as we celebrate Mother's Day today and celebrate you and you're looking to love a Godly life, the idea is that you would have fear of the Lord. And men, I speak the same thing over all of us that we would not only honor the ladies in our life and honor the women that God has placed in our life, but we would also have a fear of the Lord that we would say, you know what?
God's everything about him and his word. I'm falling. I'm in. Proverbs 31.
And somebody write this down somewhere on your paper. Proverbs 31, not perfection, but direction. Write those words for words, not perfection, but direction. Okay?
Not perfection, comma, but direction. That's what this passage is about. It's a direction for a godly life. Let your life be marked by wisdom and strength and faithfulness only through Christ.
He's our source. On the bottom of your hand out, if everybody could stay with me just to end here. And then I'm going to call the worship team up whenever you guys are ready. I got three groups of people I just want to close out with here.
So first of all, moms, moms, where are you at? Okay? Where's the Lord, moms? Okay?
I got a word of exhortation for you. It's this God sees you. He values you and is working through you. Don't ever forget it.
God sees you. He values you and he is working through you. Whether you see it or not, he's working through you. Stay the course.
Stay faithful. Keep on fear in the Lord. Second, family members. Where's a family member in this room here?
Raise your hand if you're a family member. Okay, that's all of us. Good. And the first generation there is honor and encourage the women in your life.
Do it. I know today is a special day. We're all going to do a special meal or a special card or help them. I tell you, my greatest blessings to my heart as a father and as a husband, my gosh.
I told you, I went to LA last night for that comedy concert and we had such a good time. We got home at 1130 at night and we walked in the doors and Janie and Shane on their own decided to do a full deep clean of the entire house to have the house clean for Julie on Mother's Day. Is that insane? I mean, it was like, my head was blown off and I know a blessister, but I feel like I was the most blessed that my kids did that for their mom on Mother's Day.
And the point of this is like I just said on your hand out that family members honor and encourage the women in your life. Bless them. Go out of your way and bless them. Right?
And we talk about this all the time. It's not just moms, but it's where's the mom figures? Where's the ladies that are speaking? You know, she's not here today, but man, that's Shirley Donaldson.
She's a spiritual mother to me. She always has been. And she care, you know, and so I honor her. I'm going to be sending her a text letter today, switching her happy Mother's Day for what she's done in my life.
She's not my mom, but she has poured so much into me and I praise God for that. But then I have my real mother, the goat, Canadian Carson. Some of you are like, did he just call his mother a goat? Okay, go to the Nacronan for anyone who doesn't know.
Greatest of all time, all right? Okay. And I praise God for her. She made me who I am.
I'm here today because of my mom. It's just, it's awesome. I want to honor her today. I want to honor my wife today, the mother of my children who I think is the most outstanding woman on the planet.
And I, boy, I'm blown away by her. And I want to honor all of you guys. As you guys are walking, I saw Liliana Rotta walking today. I'm like, that's an awesome mom.
I see people all over this room. You guys are awesome moms. And I praise God for you. God's using you.
So honor people. I'm actually the everyone. How many of you are everyone? Let's see.
Okay. Pursue living a life that fears the Lord. I know there's a typo on your handout. It's correct on the screen.
Stephen graciously pointed that out to me. Thank you, Stephen. Pursue living a life that, if you want to correct it on your paper, not the pursuing life, that fears the Lord. Do it.
Pursue it. Where's your team come on up? But the goal in all this, you guys, I hope you heard the word of the Lord today, pursue living a life that fears the Lord. Are you pursuing a life that fears the Lord?
Is your life about that? Are you about those ways to say like, you know what? My life needs to be represented by that. My life needs to be marked by that.
I do fear the Lord and I'm going to pursue a life in that way with obedience and with awe and with trust and faith in Him. I'm going to trust the Lord. Amen. Amen.
