When we stand firmly on the foundation God has laid, we find inner peace and stability and show others the Holy Spirit in us. God calls us to stand firm because it brings glory to His name and draws people to Him.  Every moment of perseverance in Christ brings greater maturity and fulfillment along our Christian journey. When we stand on the rock, we may stumble, but we will not fall.
