A Better Covenant

Relating to God through Christ is far better than when we lived apart from Him prior to faith. But we find ourselves tempted occasionally to return to our old ways that omit God from the picture. The author of Hebrews exhorts his listeners and us to continue embracing the relationship we have with God through Christ instead of returning to our old ways. He bases his exhortation on the belief that the covenant that enables us to draw near to God is better than any prior covenant. This morning, we’ll see why that’s true.
