It is financially and nutritionally inefficient with so much of the world's seeds and grains going to feed animals instead of people.Cage-free eggs are NOT HUMANE. They cost double or triple conventional eggs when the added cost per egg is only 1-5 cents.The SAVE OUR BACON ACT would be a law stuck in the farm bill that would nullify all state laws prohibiting crates. Why oppose the SOBA: it nullifies all animal protection laws, it's bad for smaller farmers who actually believe animals should have space to move, and it takes away states' rights and overturns voter-approved laws.How you can help stop SOBA: call your US Senator at 202-224-3121, and tell the person on the phone that you oppose SOBA and do not want it included in the farm bill.The SOBA is about protecting mother pigs, but it's also chickens and veal calves that are subjected to the worst confinement on Earth.The first law to ban gestation crates was a ballot measure in the red state of Florida, where they put it in the state's constitution. The SOBA is not about banning pork -- it is simply about allowing mother pigs to stand up, turn around, and extend limbs.To what length would you go to get your pet out of suffering?
